It's about time ESPN realized that partnering with TTC INCREASES their ratings, especially now that more Comcast regions have added TTC. I hope they do the same for Miami. I think it's about time I broke down and paid the extra money to get TTC, I'm sure I'll be in withdrawal after a day and a half down there and I will want to see more when I get home...

That alone is probably as much as the sports package costs for a year :p I dunno, no excuse for a tennis fan who can get TTC not to have it, IMO :p when you get it, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.Yes but only from friday i think.Do you mean from this friday? Not paying for the hotel room, and I'm now driving instead of flying and renting, so yeah it got cheaper. You are right, I need to order it, but its so expensive on Comcast (they are such a ripoff). I'll probably do it the day I get back so I can watch on Monday (and my husband will go insane!)

No, Eurosport has no rights for the Masters Series tourneys, so you must be confusing it with something else. Masters Series tourneys are mostly shown on Pay TV in Europe, or not at all like in Germany.

Star Sports should have good coverage and is available thx to P2P stream programs, but I can't access their program schedule right now.

Star Sports (english commentary) Live Coverage stars in approx. 3 hours (20:30 CET).

You can either watch it with the P2P software SOPcast or TVUPlayer (I didn't try TVKOO, TV Ants or PPLive yet).

Download the tools from here http://www.streamingstar.com/download-p2ptv.htm

Simply click on the channel name to start the buffering process. After a while you should be able to watch the Star Sports channel.

Quality isn't that great, but it's free.

http://www.nusports.cn/zonghe/dss/ might also have some live streaming again. No idea.

If the quality of ATP Masters Series.tv is the same as last year, then yeah, the quality is definitely better. Normally no buffering at all and the bitrate is way higher (almost the double).

Thx 4love just a question for the second link where do i have to click to watch the match i don't understand chinese:confused:

Well, last year they had a media player directly on the front page and you just need to press the play button to start the stream. Doesn't look like it's there this year, or maybe it's on a different page.

Thanks for the info on the atp mastersseries tv four:love.

--

Given I'm in a location that doesn't get TTC (we would if we switched to dish), the only thing we get is ESPN2, I really don't get to see much tennis. So...

Sopcast is actually pretty nice, I was able to watch Acapulco there - definitely wouldn't have seen the clay matches otherwise. For some reason their star sports went down, on my side, a couple hours ago so I had to switch. With Sopcast the person broadcasting has been known to label the station with the match as well so it can be really easy to find them.

For some reason TVAnts also seemed to not be pulling it in either, but I've also seen matches I wouldn't see otherwise by having this installed as well.

I've been using PPMate for the moment and it's working quite well.

I keep several of these installed as they all have their strengthes and weaknesses.

These two links are far from accurate, given over half the matches haven't shown up. But they're closer then anything else I've found for coming up with links to tournaments.

In last few years Stadium 1,2 and 3 has TV Coverage. I think that was also one of the Conditions of a combined ATP/WTA Event(also for the future), that 3 Court will be covert. But this year i haven't see any Match from Stadium 3.

MaryWalsh
03-15-2007, 03:42 PM
I spent some time figuring out whether or not Star Sports would be showing the qf's today. It looks good, esp for the Nadal-Chela match, which is scheduled not before 12:30 and Star Sports starts a 4 hour chunk at the same time. Later in the day they have another chunk for the other qf.

Star Sports is not the Tennis Channel, it is getting its feed from the tournament.

To learn more, you can go to

http://www.espnstar.com

and click on TV Times in the left hand column. It takes some doing to translate the time difference, but you can find out the schedule for the tennis from that.

btw, I noticed last night that they were showing the Haas-Fena match even though the writing beneath the screen said they were showing soccer. So be sure to complete the loading/buffering process before giving up. Cheers!
