If Marat plays at the same level as yesterday, then Hewitt's serves are going to come back faster than they were served ^__^ Hopefully Marat in 2...he needs a title to jump start his charge back to the top 10!

yeah, they're not even going to bother with the other half of the draw. They'll bend the rules for whoever wins here and give him the trophy :)

Look at the head-to-head. There's a pattern:

Hewitt
Safin
Safin
Hewitt
Hewitt
Safin
Safin
Hewitt
Hewitt
Safin
etc..

It has ALWAYS been a 50-50 match-up and it won't stop now.
It's Hewitt's turn to win.

BlakeorHenman

I think Marat will be more fired up. He will at least get the first set I think. Hewitt will have to get in his head and come back again like he did against Johannson.

C'mon Marat!!!

BlakeorHenman
03-03-2007, 10:41 PM
well... marat is actually up 6-5, but yeah it's pretty 50-50. Marat needs to widen the gap.

:haha:

Yeah, they are alternating just like serving in a tiebreak. Hewitt served first, then 2 times Safin, then 2 times Hewitt and so on. What an amusing coincidence... :D

Only because it's an odd number of meetings. It can't be 5.5-5.5, can it?

Exactly. It's still 50-50. Hewitt's turn, they're on serve. ;)

No, it's a tiebreak.. where Hewitt started serving first. No minibreaks so far. But now.. Setpoint Safin, all pressure is on Hewitt.. Minibreak is due.. :)

Yes, I've played that fun game as well, ys. Using the same logic Nalbandian and Henman both choked away huge tiebreak leads of 5-0 and 6-1 respectively against Federer, but Nalbandian lost the breaker 8-6 whereas Henman is still only setpoint down at 6-7. Federer is starting to whittle into Nadal's hefty tiebreak lead, reducing the arrears from 6-1 to 6-3, but chances are the set will go to the Spaniard before too long.

Hewitt and Safin are duking it out. 6-6 no minibreaks yet :armed:
