Why does Andy Murray seem so sad? =(

Perfection

Every time I see him in interviews and oncourt, he has such a sad expression on his face and such a dull, worn out voice.. no enthusiasm at all... I feel really bad about it... I wish I could teleport to him and give him a great, big gay hug.

I honestly really do feel bad for him... I feel like he has so much pent up sadness and anger that he needs to have released via therapy or relationship. Just someone to open up to.

Does anyone have that picture of Andy where he is taking off/putting on his shirt and you can see this huge bicep knot bulging from his arm? SO. FUCKING. HOT. I want it. NOW.

Murray is so boring. Even my 80 year old grandparents who live in Scotland agree with me and strongly dislike him.

I think he is a guy. Hence the hug is a 'big gay one'.

Andy did have some experiences as a child that were pretty distressing.

We can't all be Arnaud Clement.

My GOD I love this place. I'm SURE that giving Murray a great big gay hug would solve all of his teenaged grumpiness. :worship: Because he just sends my gaydar pinging away.

This is definitely the thread of the week.

I don't know, maybe he's a Glasgow Rangers fan and they suck big-time at the moment. :)

Joking aside, it's possibly just his nature to look serious. I think he's ok on the court.

I think Muzza is fantastic.

When asked why he thought he didn't win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award last year, he replied:

"Because I've got the most boring voice in Britain?"

I also suffer from boring voice syndrome. I can't talk to people on the phone, 'cause I sound bored and annoyed.

:haha: Entertaining to read.

I think it's more seriousness than sadness in Murray's case, but you're right. He needs to lighten up a bit in his interviews. The voice and demeanour doesn't help obviously. Maybe we should see if he acts the same way in 2-3 years time.

Shrinking Violet
03-02-2007, 09:34 PM
He's just overly cautious in front of the press and in interviews. Been burnt one too many times with getting stuff taken out of context so is probably a bit more wary than he should be. He does seem to smile and relax when he's around other players and people he likes though. I've even seen him smile and laugh on court sometimes when he's practicing or training with someone he likes.

I agree though - missing Nole is probably a contributory factor as well.

I really like Andy's sense of humor. Tongue-in-cheek, slightly self-depricating and you can't tell by his tone that he's just cracked a joke so you have to think about it for a minute.

It doesn't matter. My name is not Murray but I have been called muzza too. ;)

The gesture is often accompanied by the expression: "Na m****a!" I am sure you recognize it but if not here's some info about it:
