Here's a thread where we can post pictures of funny, weird, unique, and/or ugly tennis trophies. Please feel free to contribute, and if possible specify the tournament and year the trophy is from.

And while I'm sure we could all happily snicker over photos of WTA players kissing suggestively shaped trophies, let's try to stick to the ATP players. ;)

There was one with Marat and Ferrero, and the trophy was enormous. Someone could dig it up and post it here.

i really like the IW whale trophy. imo, the best.

there are far too many cups and especially plates and trays.

i'm surprised none (that i know of) are statues of tennis players.

Look at Guga's expression in that picture of the IW trophy ceremony. He's so happy despite having just lost 6-1, 6-1. With Hewitt's odd trophy, one could easily mistake Guga for the winner...He's the best.

Bloody hell! fasion capital of the world? Bollocks - what a mess they are wearing. They had such a gorgeous trophy I don't like the new one.

The only thing I can think of is that they didn't think about the popping camera flashes and in normal light it didn't look so bad but unfortuantely the rest of the outfits a mess as well. OMG!

Hey, Scoobs, just what will those archeologists say when in some 1000 years to come, when they dig up this massive collection of Cookie Plates in both the Basel area and Manacor just the same, and just... leave them speachless?
I have theory on that.

Sunset of Age

Published in the "Archeologist Inquirer", March 1st, 30113:
"The Big Question that has haunted us Archeologists most of all during of the past 1000's of years, i.e., the matter of the massive number of Silvery Cookie Plates dug up at both the Basel (Alps, Schweiz or something the like) and Manacor (some silly obscure Mediterranian Island) -area, which have both been diagnosed by carbon-C12 analysis as hailing from the beginning of the 21st century, has finally been solved...!

The apparent burial of these silver cookie dishes appears to in fact have been a sort-of ritual of the very scarce appearance of Homo homo toptennissus- a very specially talented subspecies of the 21th century Homo homo sapiens - a subspecies which only came along once in a decade or so, but strangely enough, somewhere in the beginning of the 21st century, there must have been TWO of 'em!

It was concluded that this Ritual Burial of Silver Cookie Plates - as apparently, those were offered to the one that lost the battle, in a sore way to honour that poor fellow - was in fact the poor loser's way of dealing with a terrible loss on the 20-21th century battlegrounds known as ... the 'Tennis Court'...."
