Expected win.

Gaston just couldn't get into the service games of Ferrero. The only time he had break points was when Ferrero was serving for the match at 5-0.

 Gaston I hoped for a closer match but it is good to see Gaston get this far and to get a win.

:hatoff: to JCF (who got screwed last week.)

He was playing and not screaming at the end of the match?

thats a step forward.

Ferrero should stick to playing these "proper" events. The RR format isn't for him and there will be no secrets in his match with Moya.

That was so enjoyable, and I'm not talking about the result. Tonight I saw something which I haven't seen in at least 3 years: JCF's forehand. I'm not talking about that moonballing piece of crap that he's been hitting for the last 3 years, I'm talking about that firecracker that he hit back in 2003.

I know we're going to get a lot of cynical people here saying how hopeless Gaudio is, but none of them have seen the match.

I am jealous. Hopefully he'll make the final, so that I can see it on TTC and hopefully he'll bring this forehand with him.

I knew JC would beat Gaston, and I thought it would be in straight sets, but not this easily. JC will beat Carlos too, the match will be brilliant, but I pick JC to win in 3 sets. JC's in the best form he's been in for ages, and hopefully there will be no stopping him!!!

Gaston should learn arguing with the deaf and blind is about as practical as a winter coat in the Middle East in summer.

Good to hear that the forehand is coming back.

The clay court season would be so much more intresting with an in-form Ferrero.

Was this win really an upset or all that surprising? Gaston has been awful for a while now and he just threatened to retire a few weeks ago.

Anyway, congrats to Juanqui :bigclap:

Isn't this the same ump who f'd up the Safin v. Nalby match in Madrid? I thought he was retiring?
