Watch out Fed :armed:

Tommy :worship:

Poor Ollie :awww:

03-01-2007, 12:35 PM
That was a destruction

Tommy did all well and it seemed he wasn't making any effort. Great match from him

Good God

Looks like Ollie had absolutely no chance!! :bigclap:

Fed has a test on his hands for sure

03-01-2007, 12:37 PM
My only complaint as a spectator is that it was over too quickly! Some really sweet shotmaking. :hatoff: Really looking forward to tomorrow.

03-01-2007, 12:37 PM

Superb match from Tommy - it's not like Ollie was playing badly or gifting him a lot of freebies - he was just outplayed and outhit and outmaneouvred at every single turn. In the end I thought Ollie did remarkably well to just get 2 games.

I've never seen such a focused and impressive display from Tommy, where absolutely everything was at the very top of its potential.

He's going to be a real handful tomorrow if he can play like that again.

Fed has a test on his hands for sure
Today's the first, wait for a result

03-01-2007, 12:38 PM
poor ollie!
but still.. QFs.. not a bad result

i´m really curious to see haas playing....

03-01-2007, 12:38 PM
Please, please Tommy, play like that tomorrow. We all know that Federer usually plays better in those later rounds of tournaments than he does at the beginning.

I don't want another Federer-Roddick Aussie Open like beatdown. Yeah, call me pessimistic.

03-01-2007, 12:42 PM
Wow! Amazing Tommy!

03-01-2007, 12:42 PM
Haas has nothing to defend on clay.

Monte Carlo - DNP
Rome - 1st round
Hamburg - 1st round
RG - 3rd round

If he does a good clay campaign, he will 3rd in the rankings...

03-01-2007, 12:42 PM
i´m soo mcuh looking forward to the haas-federer match. i think federer won´t have any problems with djokovic today.
Tommy :woohoo:

03-01-2007, 12:45 PM
Rochus didn't have any power or weapons to trouble haas, routine victory.

03-01-2007, 12:47 PM
A perfect match today. :worship: I'd never expected a semifinal after Memphis.

Go Tommy!! :)

03-01-2007, 12:48 PM
Tommy  :D playing better than ever :rocker:

03-01-2007, 12:48 PM
Tommy :bolt: :worship: Great to see him playing so well. :hearts:
Olivier

03-01-2007, 12:49 PM
Poor Ollie.

Absolutely superb from Tommy. No matter who he faces in the SF he has a real shot on a final spot.

03-01-2007, 12:51 PM
Holy cow. Haas is on freaking fire. That's an absolute drubbing.

Like I said last week, I'd forgotten how good he can be. My first US Open was in 2001 - and he was number 2 then I think. VERY nice to see him playing well again.

03-01-2007, 12:51 PM
Looking forward to the davis cup!!!

03-01-2007, 01:01 PM
what a thrashing

03-01-2007, 01:05 PM
what a drubbing , Hass is in incredible form. His shots seem to have a very hard punch to them

03-01-2007, 01:07 PM
Impressive. I really enjoy watching Haas playing like this. :worship:

03-01-2007, 01:22 PM
Great job Tommy:worship:
$$$The bet of the day for me: Tommy 2:0 :)

03-01-2007, 01:30 PM
Impressive win for Tommy Haas, he might be a thread to Federer.

03-01-2007, 01:47 PM
Should Federer make it to the semis, this could be the match of the year.

03-01-2007, 01:53 PM
Should Federer make it to the semis, this could be the match of the year.

I don't see Djokovic being a serious threat, actually. He might take a set, but I don't think he has the goods to beat Roger right now.

Indeed Haas and Federer could really be something to see. They're both capable of spectacular stuff. This one time where I'm actively hoping for Roger to win (against Nole). Will wonders never cease? :p

Another awesome match for Tommy. Looks like Haas has reached a similar level of play that he reached in 2002 (just prior to that motorcycle accident his father was invloved in) when he got to #2 in the world. I still believe if he had not ben interrupted by injury and that accident he would have stayed in the top 5 and have been to a couple of Grand Slam finals by now. Great all-around player with one of the sweetest backhands in the game for sure.

03-01-2007, 02:54 PM
Wow. Tommy has definitely been eating his Wheaties lately. Very impressive that he could fly across the world and still play like he's fresh as a daisy. Tommy :hatoff:

Ollie  You did your job taking out the useless Davydenko.

03-01-2007, 03:27 PM
wow tommy is really impressive but what can he do against the unbeatable

Voo de Mar
03-01-2007, 03:29 PM
Tommy  What an amazing form :yeah:

03-01-2007, 03:29 PM
Tommy has been impressive all year and he continues to play well after AO. Dunno about it being a contest though with Fed... He has a tendancy to play out of his mind when up against players he respects.

Haas was pretty unbelieveable. :worship: Great to see him in such good form.

Nothing Olly could do - other guy was just too good today.

03-01-2007, 05:30 PM
Ollie  :o
pathetic scoreline

03-01-2007, 05:35 PM
impressive season start by tommy, but I doubt that he can beat federer.but good luck to him,it`s time to stop rogers domination!

03-01-2007, 05:41 PM
tommy :hatoff:

03-01-2007, 06:59 PM
Oli

03-01-2007, 07:32 PM
Well done Tommy :yeah: Good decision from him not to skip the tournament - same goes for Youzhny. Great run for both guys in this week after both have just won a tournament.

It will be interesting to see how the match against Roger will be tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a good match :) It's been a while since they met the last time which was in Halle where Roger won in 3 sets.

03-01-2007, 07:45 PM
Great win Tommy, well easy mate, keep it up :)

03-01-2007, 07:53 PM
Doesn't surprise me.

He'll probably beat Federer in 2 tiebreaks.
