Gaudio def Guzman 1-6 6-3 6-2 no retirements involved

He has won a match and there was no retirement involved. Yes, he has been fortunate that Lucho was injured and he was able to draw Guzman in the 2nd round, but you have to take advantage of these chances when they come around.

A win is a win, but there is still a long way to go for Gaudio.

What a struggle for both players!!!

Ferrero can have sex with a hot mexican girl tomorrow while he plays that he will still win the match...

Nicely put. Whatever it takes to get a fire going.

Gaston got the W, something he has been able to do lately, so that alone is good enough for now, whatever happens afterwards well who knows.

It wouldn't surprise if Ferrero won 1 and 1, but we'll find out soon enough.

I knew he could do it! :yeah:

This was a match he HAD to win really...it was a good draw for him as a R2 encounter. Statistically, set 1 was a nightmare, but after that he seemed to have many chances on Guzman's serves. Now he can let it fly in the QF...would be nice to see him go all the way this week :yeah:

A highly symbolic picture there George  It is too early to say that the slump hit the bottom, it will be interesting to see if the match against Ferrero will ignite the fire inside Gaston.

:yippee: Way to break the drought Gaston! Now keep on winning!

What's really great (IMO) is he came back after the first dismal set and won. He didn't give up. :yeah:

If you are going to throw a racquet, then do it properly and this is something Gaston adheres to.
