Bit iffy in the first set; great in the second. Brilliant 'tweenie' winner from the baseline line at one point.

I saw it, he was still a bit rusty, missing to many easy balls...

I didn't watch much, but that through the legs bh DTL was sublime and the shot of the tournament, so far. :yeah:

btw. anyone else with ES 2, particularly in Germany, who also had a freeze of the channel in the first set? Took 3-4 mins until it was back to normal for me.

AMAZING MATCH, especially the second set!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

You didn't see it Ron?
Oh dear - you missed an absolutely wonderful winner-through-the-legs shot from Rogi in the seventh game of the second set...!!! :worship:
I'm sure that one will turn up on YouTube somewhere.

I have to run now. Too bad I won't be able to watch Raf...

Roger is still not entirely comfortable out there, and just how many times was that forth game in the second set taken to deuce, just to end with Bracciali holding serve?

Fed always wake up alive when Novak is up against him, good - maybe that would wake him up a bit.

Is he growing his hair out? He has such nice hair.

I'm in the UK and it happened to me too.

And yes, it was a sublime shot, wasn't it!!

Nice between the legs btw!

Ok I like Mirka but today she really looked like a cow! Seriously Mirka why in hell do you wear a cowprint coat to watch a tennis match????
I'm sure she spent a lot of money on it, but even though I haven't got a lot of money, I wouldn't put that on for a grann! (Ok I'm a man but same if I were a woman)

Yeah, the livestream surely was wonky at times - but I had the luck to see that shot, and wow am I glad so...

Someone MUST put that one up on YouTube... anyone? ;)

I love Mirka, and I'm sick of hearing everyone bitching about her weight, but her taste in clothes has got to change. She needs simple yet sophisticated clothes, not busy prints and heavy fabrics. *please* no prints, they don't look good on ANYONE. And she always has those silly wraps. BAAA.

Regarding the between-the-legs shot - I take all that trouble to watch live, and eventually I STILL need youtube? Sigh.

I watched the entire match. The first set was ordinary by his standards. But, that was sheer artistry from Roger, that second set (6 - 3). I think the doubles match has helped him a lot in getting his net game back on song. He was coming in off second serves at times!

The serve, again, looks invincible (5 Aces, no DFs). The BH is unbelievably powerful, especially the one up the line. I felt the FH is letting him down a little bit at times.

For the record: I wasn't bitching her weight(I think she's fine). I'm glad you agree with me concerning her taste;)

I'm not sure if he's really over tha Novak thing, which only means fun for us tomorrow.

Didn't hear about this. What did he say?

After the DC match:

"Basically, Federer was afraid! He is well aware of the fact that Novak will soon reach the very top, that he'll be No. 1 on the ATP list and that is the reason behind his scandalous statements."

scandalous statements = injury fake-out accusation

It came after fed said djokovic's behaviour was a joke in that DC match

The father of our tennis player pinpoints the reason why the Swiss accused Novak.
Basically, Federer was afraid! He is well aware of the fact that Novak will soon reach the very top, that he'll be No. 1 on the ATP list and that is the reason behind his scandalous statements. Even after the match in Geneva, Novak approached Federer to give him a sportsman's hug and to congratulate him, but he looked away!

also said something like Federer is a great player but a bad/poor human being.

scared

Federer's 38th consecutive victory. That's mighty impressive. Awful first set, quality second set. For the first 11 games, Federer was playing like he was drunk to be honest. Then at 30-30 at 6-5, he turned on the style and it was one way traffic. I can't see Djokovic causing him too many problems tomorrow, but I wouldn't mind being proved wrong.

Fed was making a lot of mistakes in the first hits. He had a lot of forehand mishits. But, on set point, he picked it up. I thought the second set was pretty good considering Roger's habitual after the break rusty form.

I'm looking forward to his match against Novak.

That was an awesome shot but Bracciali really should have been covering the line more, almost exclusively. Unless he had just given up on the point and thought Roger would never get it back. Still, he should have expected that had Roger hit it, he wouldn't be going crosscourt in that awkward position.
