Kiefer.....

Coria must win this one.
yes, Coria must beat him, but only if Coria plays better than against Benneteau. Or else Kiefer rocks Coria, because Kiefer was impressive and got all the important points today against Grosjean.

Looking forward to a great match and hopefully with the better end for Kiwi! :)

Gooooooooo Kiwi!!! :woohoo:

It's funny as I don't like Coria or Kiefer, but come on Coria take out the pseudo Agassi.

Gonzo/Pavel I don't care who wins I just want a really good match like the Gonzo/Nadal match, but whoever wins please make the final.

The thing if Gonzo and Coria win I would love to see this match for so many reasons, especially given the heat between Gonzo's coach and Coria the possibility of fireworks.

can't understand that. Pavel is a hell of a player. Gonzo also one of the strongest if he has a good day. But especially Pavel is playing a very good season so far, I like this guy. I'm going to root ALL THE WAY for Pavel :D ... and for Kiefer, of course... but I already mentioned that before

Pavel and Kiwi!!! GL :woohoo: :bounce:

I can Neely it's obvious, it's about a lack of exposure to certain players and then again a lack of results previously haven't helped in some places, but both of these guys will hopefully play a good match.

Pavel has been playing well and at least he won't be meeting Federer in this tournament, so that should be a bonus for sure.

Unfortunately not many people give a shit about these guys, so I can understand why this match was forgotten by some people.

That's not why I forgot George. I just found out today that I'll be going to a Challenger in four days so I'm a bit of a flake right now. The matches that impacted me most today were Guille, Nicolas, and Agustin (in that order).

I expected Andrei to win so I forgot he plays tomorrow. And I had hoped for Rafi to win so I forgot briefly that it was Gonzo that he lost to. I've been a fan of Andrei's for 8 years and Gonzo's for 3 or 4 years so it's not like I don't "give a shit."

Unfortunately not many people give a shit about these guys, so I can understand why this match was forgotten by some people.

It's good that not all people are like that, then again you did say many people and most don't get the distinct differences.

Anyway the Gonzo/Pavel match is the one I am most interested in. Gonzo won the last time they played it was indoors though. They have practiced quite a lot together, so it will be interesting to see whether Gonzo's backhand can hold up as well as it did against Nadal.

I want a tough match, but I would like Pavel to win as Gonzo has already won a tourney this year, and it would be good for him to make the semis, though Gonzo might have a better chance of making the final.

darn, I was hoping Elena would serve out the match so we'd get the boys out there. But don't want to see anyone hurt :(

03-31-2004, 06:46 PM
Yes it really does... and you just know Venus will take this now. I just hope she does it quickly so I can see some of the men before I have to go to class!

But, I am really impressed at how they're selling the Coria/Kiefer match on ESPN. Cliff just said something to the effect of "I know we try to sell a lot of stuff to you but really, these guys are good players and you should watch this match even if they're not the best-known"..... ESPN may suck really hard but that seems like a step in the positive direction at least!

Nicolas

Just when I was getting confident that he had overcome all his old crap it surfaced again. After his easy match against Seb yesterday he couldn't have been tired  .

The minute that he got broke the first time I think those previous losses to Guille creeped in and that was it. But that still doesn't explain why he didn't, at least go down fighting

Nicolas is just one of those people where you take the really good with the really bad. I'm still trying to figure out why he allowed himself to come out so bad today. After all the good he's done it's like he took 10 steps back.
