Davydenko was playing very well and then... he collapsed...

Not a surprising result. PMK hasn't been playing much tennis and he must getitng used to the fact that he has a clothing sponsor.

Söderling has confidence from DC and loves a roof as well. He was even not giving PMK pace towards the end of the match. It will be interesting to see whether he kicks on from here.

For me it is surprising result... I expected Davydenko to win her, i was almost sure... Soderling is not that good lately...

Soderling looked clueless for most of the first 2 sets...but still managed to win.

Once Davydenko let him into the match, Soderling just took off. Nikolay wasn't the same player after he switched racquets at 4-4 in the 2nd. Robin said if he played badly because he switched, he should have switched back.

PMK can get hit off the court rather easily these days.

I watched the match till 6:3 2:1 and then switched it off, thinking it would be another easy cruise for Davy, he seemed to be in control. And now I see this :eek:

Soda will be challenging for the indoor AMS titles at the end of the year. He has an awesome indoor game. He will struggle ever to make top 10 though, no GS indoors and his game away from that is pretty average.

As much as I dislike the guy, I was kind of hoping for him to break quickly into top20 this year but the start has been somewhat... discouraging. Maybe he'll use the DC victories and this match to build on some success as long as the indoor season lasts.

well, davy was a little injured recently and soderling can show some form sometimes, so its not that suprising

Isn't Robin still pretty young- about 22 or so?

If I recall correctly- wasn't there big buzz about his potential around 5 years ago or so? But it died down as the rusults didn't I guess merit the buzz. He does have a nice game though and maybe he will take some time to grow into it.
