Of course you are allowed to answer them.

Yes, you were right it was Muster.

*In April 1993 Pete Sampras went to the top of the world rankings for the first time in his career, but this was NOT the biggest story in the tennis world during April 93, what was?

Monica.

*Which player lost a final set tie break 18-16 to Richard Krajicek in the 1998 New Haven Quarter finals?

Henman.

*Scored an excellant fighting victory over Sampras at the 1993 Grand Slam Cup 3-6, 7-6, 3-6, 7-6, 13-11!!?

Korda? I thought that was in the final though.

*Lost to a youngster named Tim Henman in the 1996 Grand Slam cup but was to gain sweet revenge in the 1997 Wimbledon Quarter finals?

Stich.

Stefan Edberg was hussled out of the 1994 Australian Open 6-3, 6-7, 6-7, 6-7 by whom? and which round was it?

* I think it was Monica Seles getting stabbed in Hamburg, but I am not sure of the year.
* Henman
* Korda
* Stich
* Muster
* Todd Martin in the semi finals

Corey Feldman

its tough :)
he was a qualifier when he beat Muster in the final...
hmm clutching at straws, muster won 12 finals and lost 2 in 1995, both losses were in Kitzbuhel and Vienna..............the only titles that Dewulf won in his career
??

Action Jackson

Yes, Escude you are the winner he qualified for Vienna and won with an outstanding performance.

Corey Feldman
12-24-2004, 04:02 AM

1.. Which two teammates didn't talk to each other at all during their Davis Cup matches? The span was between 1988-the mid 90s.

2. Which player has managed to win a match after saving 9 match points twice? Whom did he beat and where was it? This player stil plays on the tour.

3. Which 2 Finnish players have gone the furthest in any Slam? Name the Slam, the round he lost and the opponent? One has already been named, name the other, he is retired and it was between 1988-1995.

5. Have any Georgian players ever made a Grand Slam final in the Open era? ( A bit tricky)

Corey Feldman

Action Jackson

Agassi is of Armenian descent and not a Georgian.

Corey Feldman

ahh maybe that explains why he's good friends with Sargsian.

Leena

A player.

And I'm bored.

Trying to figure out how to play Final Fantasy X-2. :p

Action Jackson

*Magnus Gustafsson, Magnus Larsson, Goran Ivanisevic and Wayne Ferreira all suffered which same fate? (hmm any1 who gets this will be a real tennis trivia freak ;) )
*6 out of the 7 first meeting between Michael Stich and Pete Sampras happened in which country?
*this player finished #19th in the year end rankings once but won over us$2,000,000 during the season? (player, year would be great as well)

Hell no.

The only other Finnish player I know is Ketola, and he sucks.

Davis Cup guess... Agassi and ugh, I don't even know who'd play for US then... Brad Gilbert. That would be cute.

Just a guess, they all lost to Sampras in the same tournament.
Germany
Paul Haarhuis in 1995.

Escude is the first one concerning those guys is that they all lost their 1st ATP final appearance.

Action Jackson
12-24-2004, 04:35 AM
The DC question all I will say is that Leena has got the closest, but it's not right as both people have to be named correctly.

Corey Feldman
12-24-2004, 04:36 AM
Escude is the first one concerning those guys is that they all lost their 1st ATP final appearance.
good effort but nah,
a clue: it concerns matches against 1 certain player.

*this player finished #19th in the year end rankings once but won over us$2,000,000 during the season? (player, year would be great as well)

easy clue here: 75% of these winnings came from 1 tournament :yeah:

Magnus Larsson in 94 was the ranked #19 as I think he won the GS Cup.

12-24-2004, 04:38 AM
Sigh.

Bruguera and E. Sanchez.

Edberg and Gustafsson.

Hrmph... ummm...

Edberg and Svensson.
Edberg and Larsson.
Edberg and Kulti.
Edberg and Carlsson.

Stefan never talked anyway, so I'm half right.

Action Jackson
12-24-2004, 04:47 AM
Edberg did talk to his teammates now and then, so it's still more than these two.

sergi bruguera and carlos costa?

Leena

Berasategui and A. Costa. They won with their forehands.

Action Jackson

Berasategui and A. Costa. They won with their forehands.

Costa beating someone into submission with his forehand is almost as funny as Hingis blowing away someone with their serve.

The answers to those are both no.
