If Hewitt can keep up his from from the 1st,2nd & 5th sets vs Rochus yesterday ~~> then he`s an outside shot at the French!!

*Also Lleyton gave Nadal a good tussle at RG last year<:)

If Roddick supposedly got a shot [ironic or otherwise] then Rocky Llegs Hewitt has to be a shoe in!!

Federer thinks about his game. Berdych does not.

A solid defender who moves well would expect to beat Roddick.

The only thing that could stop him in the semi-finals may be a red hot Ivo Karlovic.

The closest Roddick has gotten to beating Fed is on a fast hard court at the US Open and Indoor at Shanghai. He then gets crushed by Fed on the slower Rebound Ace in Australia and he is somehow going to win on the slowest surface over Fed and the rest of the clay court specialists. Interesting

I'll admit, Andy Roddick definitely has his mojo back. And I'm positive that if Andy hadn't met Roger in the AO semifinals, Andy would have made it to the finals. I doubt he would have won though. :o
But I have a lot of faith in Andy and his clay game is not too shabby these days. ;) But I'm thinking Rafa vs Roger in the French final, unless Rafa's injury doesn't clear up.

One should never be ironic when discussing irony, as ironically it could cause unintended damage to certain people.

Henman choked v Coria, simple as that.
its actually the closest he came in any of his 6 GS semis, because there no way he was winning that Ivanisevic one.... God had his croatian scarf on that whole tournament.
bastard.

02-17-2007, 06:57 PM
Thing is, would you have really seen Henman beat Gaudio in the final, this is non-choking gaudio, the one who actually wanted to win matches.

Corey Feldman
02-17-2007, 07:00 PM
Yeah why not? he owned Gaudio back then including twice on clay.. and easy wins as well.

Corey Feldman
02-17-2007, 07:02 PM
tim was playing great that event.. always brining the clay courters to the net & passing them...
he was super fit as well, must have been of the fags that year - on them nicotine patches or something.

That one was going to be devastating no matter who lost. Henman, with years of pressure, with the match on his hands and probably the best chance he would ever have, and the rains come. If Goran lost, well after 3 finals loss and his "this is worse than seeing someone die" comment in the midst of the war in ex-Yugoslavia, that would have been a tragedy of gargantuan proportions.

Corey Feldman
02-17-2007, 07:09 PM
Yes it was down to Rafter, Henman and Goran... all 3 going for their destiny, only one was gonna get it.

2001 Wimbledon was probably the best grand slam of all time, even if the men upstairs had their croatian scarfs on.

Id have to agree with you there definately. I reckon Tim would have won the tournament if Goran hadn't taken him out and going down even further - Perhaps Henman would have won the tournament without that rain delay? I loved it when Goran won, i couldnt seperate who I would have wanted to win - Tim Or Goran.

Henman played very well in that match. Its a shame that he lost his head completley after losing the break lead in the second set, because that was probably his best chance of finally reaching a slam final.
It was a blown opportunity for sure, but hey thats life.
