Hey All,

Check out the below stats. Notice that Roger is leading in only one category. Should that alert us to anything or may haps the change is gonna come as it pertains to how many times Rog will lose this year?

Im pretty sure he wasnt the leader in much last year. Also its early so one amazing match could have you near the top in aces. As for the percentages, well if you havent played much and served well in the games played, then the service % is high.

http://www.atptennis.com/en/players/matchfacts/:confused: Most guys have only played one or two tournaments so far this year. Those stats mean nothing right now.

If you look at the AO stats on their website I think Fed was #1 in only one stat, but yet he walked away with the trophy. Stats are misleading, especially this early in the year.

I don't think he was top in much in those stats last season. But what's important was he was at least near the top in practically every category.

He is winning 63% of the points on his 2nd serve, winning 41% of return games and is second in both 1st serve return points won and 2nd serve return points won.

Here is the truly remarkable thing: Federer just won a Slam without losing a set while serving below average for him (tied for 50th in 1st serve %). Other than against Djokovic, he didn't really serve all that well during the tournament. He didn't serve well against Roddick or Gonzo, the two other best players of the AO and still won in straight sets.
