I think his peers look at him as a pest because he likes to irritate his friends. He is that kind of guy, so I don't think the other players really want to give him an award, even if he deserved it.

At least you admit he deserved it. Same for everybody else on this forum who voted all those many threads ago that coria was indeed the most improved player (an OBVIOUS majority). If you don´t like the guy fine, but don´t begrudge what he worked hard to accomplish in his career thus far. I thought Tennis was a meritocracy.

No reason to take this pointless award so seriously. Yes, Coria probably did deserve it more than Schuettler, but oh well. I don't think Guille is losing any sleep over it.
