He is very tall and weighs 100 kgs thanks to his height. So this puts pressure on his knees and he is more prone to injury then smaller people.

Karlovic never won alive rubber against in Davis Cup and I think He never won a dead rubber too so He can't request any money!

For those who ask why he makes a big deal out of money, you can easily reverse the argument: if money isn't the issue, if you play for honor, then why don't they divide money equally between all the players? Like musketeers, all for one, one for all? Obviously, what you get paid means how much you are worth to the team, and Karlovic maybe feels, if he isn't 'worth' more than the 4th player, then the team obviously doesn't think they actually need him. And if they don't need him, then why join them in the first place.

Anyway, I don't think what Karlovic has been doing is that morally reprehensible...I heard a story about Volandri refusing to play DC because he wasn't paid X amount of money...considering he was, and still is, the leading Italian, that is pretty disgusting.

The whole DC money issue has been going for a while. I mean Becker and Stich had arguments about it.

Then there was an issue with the Austrian team over money as well. As for Karlovic, well if money is the problem, just come out and say it, but if they are going to pay the players, then if Ivo is getting that percentage, then it's disgusting.

Well I understand to an extent him getting less than Ljubo and Ancic, but not that much less.

This team, specially Ljubo and Mario have made him DC Champion.
Many players that could beat Karlovic with their eyes closed will never win the DC.
He should appreciate that and show up every time Croatia plays even if he wont play.
It is always better to have more options.
If one of our top players is injured and Karlovic doesnt show up we cant beat any team in the top 50:)
