USA v CZE - why wasn't Hajek picked?

Can't be bothered to search for the original thread...sorry :o

But it seems to me that by leaving Hajek out (who garnered some good clay results last year) the Czechs have given USA more of a chance than they might have originally had. Dlouhy is a complete headcase...he could win a singles match against either Blake / Roddick, but I'm not convinced he will. I'm guessing Minar, although selected, is unlikely to be selected for singles ahead of Dlouhy?

It seems it is just a question of current form. If Berdych manages to win both his matches, it will come down to a deciding 5th rubber between Dlouhy and Blake. I don't see Minar playing at all.

Dlouhy a headcase? At least he can win a match going to the fifth set, something Blake has never done in his life.

Hajek has had injury and illness problem and hasn't played an event after the Aus Open, if fit then he'd have been in the squad.
