Sorry, this is in German, but basically it says that he hasn't been able to train for the best part of a week now because of his calf injury and time is running out on him. I think tomorrow may be crunch time, whether to play on Friday and risk making the injury worse or hoping that it will have cleared up by then.

Damn :awww:

Aww, poor Rainer  As if his low confidence is not enough, and now injury? Hopes it is nothing serious and he will recover quickly.

Not sure, bunk. In IW last week in the doubles with Kiefer, they retired after the first set because his calf was bothering him. Don't know whether he did the damage in that match or whether it was there already

I know. What's next. Hopefully, Andy or Roger doesn't come down with a case of mono or something that will keep them out of the game for an extended period of time. I am wondering what's in the water with the players....

well they did both have little things. Andy had his back injury which was definitely a problem in Memphis and a little bit of an annoyance in Scottsdale. And Roger pulled out of Marseille with some small injury, nothing serious it seems like. Juan Carlos can't stay healthy if his life depended on it the poor poor thing, Carlos had his ankle injury, now Rainer, Coria had an abdominal strain right at the beginning of the season, Andre had his hip problem and pulled out of Scottsdale, Younes isn't playing Miami, David and his ankle, and the list just keeeeeeeps going..... it's not usually this bad at the BEGINNING of the season, is it??

that suckzzzz big time.... concerning German players, I have to hope for Haas to regain good shape again and for Kiefer.

please, Rainer... fight back and show them all that you can also have a good 2004 and not only last year
