It may take a lot of time. OR It may not happen.

Fine, But I still got to believe this guy can come back later. I don't know how later. But I still expect a come back will happpen to Andy.

He may be the only guy who has the chance to be there.

Deboogle!.

Only if Federer gets pretty seriously injured or retires REALLY young. I see him getting an occasional match from Roger, but not consistently enough to actually pass him in the rankings.

Honestly, it would boggle my mind to see any other name next to the "1".

May no one expect He get back to No.1

But, it doesn't mean He can't

Why...Rafa's problem is consistency.

He is by no means as sure a lock as Federer.

Its at least feasible...he's got 2 slam finals to defend...we will see.:)

The clay season is coming up so Duckman wont get any points there and unless he gets the killer forehand back, he isnt going to be moving up in the rankings.

He has already been to #1, the most important thing for him is to win another slam.

Oh man,

Almost no one expect Andy to be No. 1 in Early 2003. Of course not. But, he did.

Why he lost the No. 1 Rank to Roger very soon. Because He didn't imporve after Climb No. 1

That's a main reason. So what he support to do. He got to know that.

This is true.

but that is what i'm saying...Andy has like 0 points to defend for the clay and somewhat on the grass.

Rafa has everything to defend...i realize it is reaching but it is very possible for one player to improve while another doesn't live up to every single thing, especially if they are not always consistent:shrug:

dude just chill. Its not a personal thing but roddick has no chance of being #1. Even the diehard Roddick fans will tell you that, Roddick would tell you that and even Jimbo would tell you that so why cant you accept that.

He'll need help (i.e. Federer getting injured and missing a decent amount of months from the tour). Everyone would need a little help from Roger in order to nab the #1 spot, but honestly I just can't see Nadal getting there even if that happens because he's really starting to be just a B player off the clay courts, not an A player he was in 05. That one fluke run to the Wimbledon finals won't be happening anytime soon either.

yeah roddick will be number one
if someone kills federer, nadal, davydenko, gonzalez, and blake.

I think the next No. 1 will come from the young guns or will be nadal (I don't consider him part of the usual young guns). andy's been there, so it's not a big deal, but of course he would like to get it again. don't think it could happen, too many people can get the occasional win over him.

Roddick might win a match against Federer but there is no way he can take away his #1 ranking. It would require a miracle!

A-Rod need to face challenge with not only Federer, but also with Muarry, Gasquet, Baghdatis, Berdych, Djokovic

I dont think so, with Nadal, and the other youngsters coming along it will be hard for him, o yea and because of a guy named Federer

DrJules

Unless Federer is injured he will not become number 1.

However, he has a genuine chance of challenging Nadal for number 2 although I consider Nadal favourite to remain number 2. Nadal is more dependent on one surface and part of the year than Roddick which does make him vulnerable.

On grass, carpet and hard court Roddick possibly has an advantage over Nadal while Nadal only has an advantage (admittedly large) over Roddick on clay

This is not accurate, Nadal has 4,775 points from which 2,300 come from clay. If you subtract all of them, he makes 2,475 points on surfaces other than clay. Anyway, ranking is important to Andy only to the extent that he can avoid meeting Roger early in a tournament.

The Ducktards would hit up the library computers and vote from every one of them so it would probably be 50-50.

andy improved his game thanks to jimmy and he`s playing his best tennis.if he stays on his current level of tennis, he can be in top 5 for a very long time, but no one will be number 1 as long as roger plays tennis.

I think that ship has sailed for Andy for two reasons: 1. Roger; 2. Too many talented youngsters, with Nadal at the top of the list, waiting in the wings to fight for the spot.

However, I think if Andy does set his mind to doing so, he can wager a good fight with Nadal for no. 2 this year.
