impressive performance. kept calm in the face of a hostile crowd and some questionable home-town officiating.

the rest will do gonzo good for DC.

02-03-2007, 02:34 AM
what happened, Gonzo ?

02-03-2007, 02:35 AM
Gonzo was up a break in the 3rd right?

Its ok Gonzo :)...you'll recover.

yeah, he broke to go 4-3 up in the final set. he was up a break at the start of the final set too I think.

Fernando should not have played this MM tournament. Having said that, congratulations to Montañes. He was the better player today and deserved the Win. Now Gonzo get rest for the DC tie.

That's what happen when you play 3 straights weeks in a row... JUST FATIGUE!!!! :smash:

Even Federer last year lose a match the next week to winning a title against Murray...

Montañes played well, but González (yeah, that is how to spell it) was tired as hell and completely out of gas, but good effort Fernando and thank you again for play in your country only for to please to us  now take a deserve (little) rest and the next week all we know that you will do the best of you for DC ;)

02-03-2007, 02:40 AM
Great win by Albert!!! I guess Fernando is just mentally and physically tired...hope he can rest a bit now. I'd love to see Albert win this tournament!! Vamos!!

02-03-2007, 02:41 AM
Erratic performance by Gonzalez, I think he was mentally worn out today after the all stress he went through in the past few weeks. Montanes played well and hung tough, even when Fena tried to use the crowd against him.

02-03-2007, 02:41 AM
Even though, Gonzo cost me about 350, I'm happy to donate.....hell of a player.

02-03-2007, 02:56 AM
too tired gonzo

after that you'll kill the russians

02-03-2007, 02:56 AM
Gonzo what happened? He needs the rest, though I kind of feel weird saying that it is for DC. oh well. Rest up.

02-03-2007, 03:00 AM
what happened?

he only is tired as hell fisically and mentally... that's all

02-03-2007, 03:16 AM
*4-3 with a break... damn it Gonzo!!! http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r189/zine56/TFR174.gif

anyway... Good Luck Tomorrow Nico!! http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r189/zine56/TFR192.gif

An excellent result for Montanes, Gonzalez only played here because it is his home tournament. Now he needs to recover fully before the DC.

02-03-2007, 03:22 AM
Lamentably for Fer, he's too tired.

Now everybody to support Nicolas.

02-03-2007, 04:06 AM
 Fernando. Its time to rest now. :)

02-03-2007, 04:08 AM
haas and gonzo go down today

02-03-2007, 04:50 AM
Maybe they realized they were entered in a MM tourney?

02-03-2007, 05:15 AM
Gonzalez played well, but he was visibly tired. Montañes showed great attitude when facing the partisan crowd and hung in there.

02-03-2007, 11:28 AM
Fena should have skipped this and DC.

02-03-2007, 11:30 AM
Aw, Gonzo. He probably should have skipped it but it's his home tournament, that wasn't going to happen. Hope he gets rested for DC.

suprising result, and rightly he can blame it on tiredness

Fena should have skipped this and DC.

If Feña skipped the DC, it would be an holocaust in Chile. :scared: The people simply won't forgive him.

02-03-2007, 06:41 PM
Fena should have skipped this and DC.
