A year ago this month, ATPWorld went kaput...

And after a brief stint as a forum stepchild of WTAWorld, phoenixed it's way back in the form of MTF.

Most posters came back, some never returned and, of course, new additions continue to make their voices heard.

Hope that we never go down again :)

Ahem... copyright issues over the use of a certain acronym in front of "world", associated with a certain professional body in charge of men's tennis. I can say no more.

I quite enjoyed that period of squatting at WTAWorld though, at first there was a nice feeling of reunion as all the refugees gradually arrived there. The men's forum was busier and certainly more packed around RG time than its MTF reincarnation has been since, although it's been getting steadily bigger month by month.

Squatting at WTAWorld was quite fun.

Sjengster, you had the old sn of "Hendouble" (or something like that), no?

I did indeed, that was my WTAWorld username when I joined there at the same time I joined ATPWorld. I tried using the same name as on here, but I think I screwed it up and somehow convinced the website that it was already reserved... I can't recall properly. Everyone thought I was female for ages after that.

The US Open 2002 matches versus Kuerten and Gonzalez, I've said it before but those are definitely his best victories ever in a big event. Surprisingly, the first few on that list I'm not too keen on seeing again... I haven't seen his one win over Agassi, although I gather it was a tough encounter. The win against Nieminen is also good value, a tough five-setter where he was down a double break in the final set and then won six games in a row to take the title.

I wasn't around here back then, but I have been on a couple of Forums that didn't come back. It is not a very good feeling at all and there is nothing you can do about it

if this site was down last year, how come the joining dates were saved? I see people here being registered on 2002

No, it went down in 2003. The site is the same, the name is changed.
