yah, it's defeat after defeat for Gaston now:sad: Not being able to win more than 4 games against a very beatable opponent on his favorite surface, that says unfortunately a lot:sad:...

this was the ultimate anti-tennis match, but still, very entertaining to watch

Berlocq looked like a sumo wrestler down there, never seen a tennis player sweat that much

Yes and it was worse than the result shows.

Well he has another match to play before he can go to Brazil.

He seemed even more disinterested than usual.

Exactly. What made me really sad is that he's not even trying...

Worse than 6-2 6-2  !!! 60 61??

Anybody pick Berlocq at TT???

The other group player is Navarro Pastor, Gaudio should win tomorrow  ......

GG has won only 4 of the last 13 matches. Since last year's Roland Garros he isn't able to win 3 matches in a row :( And his defeats against Marach, Greul, Berlocq, awful.

Hey, if Vince Spadea can come back, so can Gaston Gaudio. That doesn't take away any of the grimness of this match.

Berlocq played a couple South American challengers and had a 3-2 record, losing to Rainer Eitzinger and Vasilis Mazarakis....then he comes back to beat Gaudio 2 and 2???

Grim.

That's the problem, anyone who is crazy enough to bet on Carlos Berlocq has probably lost all their money already on some other crazy bet.

thats a not shocking result imo ..Gaston is capable of losing to any decent claycourter

Berlocq played a really good tennis, he did a big effort during the match.

This was awful, even for a disinterested Gaston standards :o

I like Charly and all but his form has been far from good this year so far, losing to Eitzinger and he retired against Mazarakis

And i have my doubts that even an on fire Berlocq could trouble Gaudio

Gaston, put your head back on :smash:

Berlocq on his best day is average, but his best day was good enough to win here.

u know as well as i do that average is good enough to beat GG these days..it is more that u go against Gaston than u trust Carlos..I think the whole tennisworld actually do know how talented Gaston is but ..talent without the brain is worthless..anyway he still remains one of my favorite players no matter what

At the moment his mind is somewhere else besides tennis and he'd struggle to win at the Challengers at the moment.

Dropshotitis, cause he isn't physically fit enough comes into it and there are certain signs within Gaudio matches that are apparent. He might come through this or he might not.

I really thought that the long layoff would help him get focused on tennis again, but it doesn't look like it. I hope he does decide to put his mind and energy into tennis again because he can produce some beautiful stuff.

Are we talking about Gaudio who won Roland Garros 2004?

Come on, put together at least couple of solid tournaments. This is nonsense.
If I had his backhand and talent...
