On to face Stepanek. I think he has a chance to match last year's result and, why not, reach the QF! :)

 Poor Tojo fought so hard to win the 2nd set and then fizzled. I think the 2002 AO champ will prolly retire at the end of this year. He just hasn't been the same since Wimbledon '05.

It'll be interesting to see how well Ferrer does here. He blew a great chance to advance to the RG '06 quarters or semis but I think he lost to Ramirez-Hidalgo. The pressure got to him there. But Stepanek also blew a huge opportunity at Wimbledon last year. I really hope Fish makes it out of that section.

Stepanek v Ferrer could be a classic.

Ferrer solid as usual. He will go deep again in a big tournament without doing waves.

Congrats David. He has a good chance to make the quarters here.

I would like to see that. It would be a nice topper to his first hard court title last week.

Congrats David.

But ToJo hasn't been himself since the eye injury. Too bad.

Call me crazy, but I think Ferrer has a decent shot at making the semis here. His record on slow hard courts is impressive.
