Great win for Danai! :bounce:

JCF was up 5-2 in the first set and 5-3 in the second.
This is his best showing in a slam, Djokovic up next. :woohoo:

Ferrero served for both of the first two sets. He dropped serve three times in a row from 5*-4 up in the 2nd. He was able to finally serve out a set in the 3rd from 15-40 down, but then forgot how to serve again in the 4th set.

What's his deal since Cincinatti? He got scared of winning matches again? Clearly he needs a new coach and a new serve. Look outside of Spain.

Indeed! Great job. I may sound very ignorant here but I never heard of the guy before...!

Poor Juanqui... it just doesn't seem to be working for him anymore.

The mosquito has well and truly lost his bite.

His groundies are full of topspin, midcourt, not that powerful, Udomchoke was able to pick anything short off almost at will. The forcing, aggressive play was completely lacking.

I don't know what to make of Juanqui these days.

Very well played by Udomchoke. His flat groundstrokes and slice BH were causing JC all sorts of problems. Defensively, he was also superb with some incredible court coverage. Also, for such a short guy, his serve was very effective. All round a very good performance. :yeah:

JC has got to go back to the drawing board and do some serious thinking. His attitude, after the 2nd set, was terrible. He only won the 3rd set because of Udomchoke's UEs. To make matters even more embarrassing, Danai was cramping in the 4th set but JCF he still couldn't take advantage. :o

Sad for JCF. He's just nothing like the player he once was. Hopefully he'll find a way to get it back eventually, but it doesn't look likely. :(

Not surprising at all, JCF seems to be in a slump even by his current standards.

In my opinion JCF is finished, GG as well... They'll never come back to Top 20.

Never say never. Agassi, Moya, Safin - many players have come-back from worse slumps than this.

It is sad , he was one of my favourites , has wonderfull game. And then it all fell apart.

What is the worst his game look so ordinary now  I hope he will do something because he was so strong on RG and what is more he was all surface player

I wish him all the best :wavey:

oh well :) I hope that he finds his game soon :P I mean not alot of jc fans are left out there and most of them have just moved on. But personally he'll be my favorite tennis player even if he never gets back to his old self

Oh dear, not good at all. I don't see anyway forward for Juan Carlos unless he changes his coach. I've been thinking this for a long time (since 2004), his game hasn't improved, and clearly he lacks motivation and confidence.

He can still come good but I can say at the moment he's not looking like winning a match at all
