Slight wobble from Nole towards the end of that second set but got his head back in and stabilised.

nicely done, Lopez was briefly lively but otherwise woeful.

Had me scared there for a bit in the second set.

Well done Nole. :)

Bring on.... Udomchoke (so it seems at this point) ? :rocker2:

expected but it's not easy as it seems because not only is Lopez leftie but he makes such mind numbing and easy mistakes it takes me by surprise and maybe even his opponent . I watched that end of 2nd set and Nole just couldn't find rhythm because of Lopez's short and wild shots

Had Nole not been that generous, he could have even achieved what Murray came short with yesterday :tape:

Don't they teach Serb young men not to pick on women.

Woeful display by Lopez.

Djoko on course to take out Fed in R4 :armed:

Great display by Nole. He has a bad luck being in the same quarter of the draw with Federer. Djokovic could play in the final but in the 4th round against Federer, dream about it will be over, maybe even in straight sets.

he does interview well, Nole, I have to say - in his post-match interview he was very personable - articulate, seemed intelligent and modest and happy. He had a lot to say - some might say too much :)

Since the Serbian fans were quite fiesty at Sydney during the women's final and have been vocal at the Aussie Open, I think that it could be a very interesting match and Djokovic could actually give it a go and contribute to a very entertaining match.

It will be the best match of the tournament but not before they both win another one

I'm looking forward to that match. Roger's still not firing on all cylinders and Nole is looking excellent so far.:rocker2:

Hopefully one of the press guys will bring up the DC controversy prior to the match just to heat it up that little bit more as well.

He's really impressive so far. Great interview afterwards as well. This is going to be a massive year for him.

Anyone watching on British eurosport - did you hear the commentator say something during the match about Nole applying to the Home Office yet denying it to the press when asked about it?

Who wouldn't look excellent when they're opponent is "woefull"?

Yeh I heard that as well, it was to do with him providing his family with a better place to live, but I dunno if it was true or not because I never heard anything about him applying.

No, I know it has been rumoured for a while but I just assumed it was one of those stories that got kicked about that would never materialise. It's more about the younger brothers and funding for them I believe, but the commentator sounded 100% certain that the application had been made and it just seemed strange that it had been kept quiet.

Deivid to start the thread of course. :wavey:

Feli should really consider modelling, although I don't think they pay that much to the male models.
At least there was some effort in the 2nd set but not good enough.

He needs to sort out his volleying, especially his forehand, couldn't win a point if it hit him in the face.

IMHO, the thing about Roger is that he won't blow his energy unnecessarily on opponents.. If he always plays at his maximum possible level in every round, he could probably triple-bagel half of the guys on the tour. If he gets to take on Nole in the 4th, he'd probably step it up a few notches from the level he's currently playing at.

That said, great job to Nole! Hope he'll go on comprehensively thrashing his opponents as he's been doing so far..

trust me u don't want federer to actually get fired up because of the press !!i personally don't want such a thing because a fired up fed may be too hot to handle for anyone let alone nole .
but anyway looking forward to a good match if nole could treat federer as any other guy and stop thinking too much into it .

Nah, I like both so I just want a good match between them so I don't mind if Roger notches it up a little because I would hope that Novak would respond and it would be a cracker.

easy match, but tell your stupid fans not to fight, maybe they hear on their countryman :( that was a big negative for him, but I still hope he whips Federer out if they meet
