Like this one too .. Have spent much of the morning chuckling at a few posts on other sites from guys declaring the Crocs "banker material" tonight ..

I can only imagine how the Hawks have been training this week after losing to West Sydney on their home floor last saturday .. They'll be counting down the minutes until tip off ..

I'm on the Crocs.

Certainly not "banker material" but I'm feeling pretty confident. :scared:

Looking closely at Saville and the Hawks too, confirm later, probably only a small bet.

BG (Or anyone else that knows) a question :

I remmember awhile back you mentioned betting at halftime on the second half on the NBL.
Can anyone list the books that offer this ?? I only know of one.

Apart from the odd HT punt on fox games using CB I'm not too keen on live NBL betting so haven't bothered to look into it

I think Bill Hurley's Sportsbook offers it..?

I've never really rated Casey Frank (unlike Steve Carfino .. geezus enough already!) but the man can throw down a decent dunk ..

Yeah C/bet live games was all I knew took it. I actually got some on the Hawks tonight -7.5 1.95 at the half. Wasn't the line I was expecting.
10.5 would have been more reallistic. However Townsville was pounded everywhere before the game so they were trying to balance the book abit more at the half.
Thanks will have a look at Bill Hurley.

21 points short one .. as he was benced half way throw the last quarter

the over and the cover were easier bets.. went with the tough one...

Really tough call on tonight's game up here in Cairns .. The Taipans have been very specific in a lot of their defensive work this week, they spent a long time looking at video of Perth this morning.

Snakes have won 6 of their last 7 against the Wildcats in Cairns, but the visitors come here (albeit after arriving very late last night) with no fitness concerns and with the added perimeter threat of Damien Ryan.

It's a toughie but I have to go with Cairns here .. They had their pants pulled down at home last friday night and after grabbing their gutsiest 'W' of the season in Geelong on Sunday I think they'll look to limit the Cats to one shot per possession by breaking even on the boards (against a very good rebounding team), get their transition game going and most significantly, feed off the phenomenal lift their home crowd provides - it truly is worth 8-10 points at least to the Snakes ..

The value is certainly with Perth ($2) from a price point of view, but this is a big big game for Cairns' top four chances and the home court advantage they enjoy up here has to be seen, heard and felt to be fully appreciated ..

Yes indeed ...

FYI Rick Burton is also in town today .. apparently he's about to blow our minds with some new initiative aimed at helping clubs improve their junior development ... :worship:  He's "close" to making an announcement ...

Other than that, he's also (and I WILL believe this when I see evidence of it) promising stricter policing of the salary cap from next season! Ahem ..

Unfortunately verbal barbs were all I had to throw last night dave! Credit to Perth though, they were outstanding ..

Watching last night it became pretty clear the difference between teams with a genuine shout at winning the championship (Perth) and those who merely shout they can win it (Cairns) ..

Some of the post game rumblings from a few of the Taipans didn't exactly exude positivity for the rest of the campaign either .. :singer:

I've been busy of late but here are some plays.

Brisbane V Wollongong - Over 213.5 - Brisbane offensive at home, Wollongong have changed the way they play - will fly over.

Sydney V Adelaide - Over 198.5 - I like Adelaide's chances of winning this one. I think they are value but won't touch it. It will be a close game all night with the winner winning by under 4 points. Low 200's.

Melbourne V New Zealand - Over 206.5 - Not very confident on it, but New Zealand are crap and Melbourne will blow them out. It's up to New Zealand to keep their score up, and if they do, it will go over.

Dragons V West Sydney - Over 214.5 - I see the Dragons scoring at least 115 tonight. West Sydney will score in triple figures so this will go over.

Townsville V Perth - Over 210.5 - Watch this sail over. Townsville are an overs team at home and Perth are not bad themselves. High scoring affair here.

Also playing

Adelaide +10 over Sydney
West Sydney +13 over Dragons
Townsville -3.5 over Perth

Good luck!

Projected scores

Sydney V Adelaide - 104 - 100
Brisbane V Wollongong - 115 - 104
Dragons V West Sydney - 110 - 106
Townsville V Perth - 120 - 106
Melbourne V New Zealand - 108 - 99

That was an amazing game, I was listening to most of it down the stretch - Ryan seems to be a real clutch man from the perimter

Cats with their frontcourt are the real deal this season - especially considering they have the wood over the Bullets

Going to get on them to win it all

No question the Tigers will be there or thereabouts, but there have been signs this season (to me anyway) that they aren't quite clicking like in previous seasons. They having been having numnerous lapses during games where they allow teams to get back into it.

Bullets have been the standouts for sure this season. Cats need to keep winning to get that crucial 2nd spot.

But if we are talking value alone, Cats are massive - winning at challenger is pretty much close to mission impossible IMO

I agree the Cats are the value in the market. The big concern I have over them is on the road, champion teams are nearly always good road teams in any sport. They are coming good at the business end of the season, now leading into the playoffs is what will seperate the men from the boys.

Yep agree Dave it's all about the momentum

Should be a great finals series

On a side note I think this could be the end of the Sixers era of competitiveness with doubt around Maher next season and no Farley, getting hammered by 40 against the Kings tonight

Fisher got the Wildcats playing a damn hell of a bball atm no doubt!but have these guys peaked too early,or are the Bullets n Tigers just taking it easy atm??it seems like these teams have soo many gears you dont know which ones in,agree Dave it was impressive b2b nights over thier Queensland rivals but insaying soo i shouldve known both teams, especially Crocs have matchup problems, just the 3 bigs is too much for some team,no matter how hot or good of a shooting team you are, when finals are base on more Defence,Perth is in a decent spot with their Defence is quite good,Bullets can blow anyone of court on their day, while Tigers are just hard to match up aswell as how good their team is!!The new guy from Perth can shoot the 3's no doubt, great pic up!!p.s When does Ben Pepper get off Contract, valuable big men who would slot in the Crocs very well, agree momemtum is a key but just as important is inside presence, that's why the Bullets will rely on Bradke when taking on bigger opponents also with matchups aswell!!Should be interesting seeing the ladder in the end,and maybe that will be the difference on winning the championship with where the teams finish is crucial no doubt!!
