Hey sorry to intrude on your forum, but I was at Chela's match, and it was 41 degrees, and everyone (players and spectators) really suffered. Chela used about half of Melbourne's water supply on his hair to cool down, but given the circumstances he played really well. His shots were brilliant (at times) and he is such a nice guy. Half the crowd went up to him just to congratulate him on struggling through the heat, and still giving us a damn good match. You guys should all be proud of him.

Awww... thanks for your report! Don't worry, you can come here as many times as you wish! ;) The heat was dreadful, I'm glad you were able to enjoy tennis in spite of those conditions! :)

Juan defeated Nieminem 6-3 2-6 6-4 6-4. He played very well and focused but in some parts you could notice he was a bit tired, perhaps due to the heat.
The bad thing is that when they were 3 all in the last set he fell and the commentators said that he sprained his ankle. Juan called the trainer who bandage the ankle and then he keep playing quite normally.
And in the match point the same happened to Nieminem but he didn't call the trainer which I think it was a good gesture of him given the circunstances.

Good win Juan!!! :woohoo: I saw the match on TV, and I liked what I've seen! :D Juan played very well and took the important poins of the match. :yeah: There was a little bit of drama at the end because Juan twisted his ankle but thanks god it wasn't serious :nervous:, and then in the MP Nieminem twisted his ankle too. Next up is Murray, which will be another difficult match but Juan seems motivated so anything can happen! :clap2: I don't know if I will watch the match because it starts very late in my country (05:30 am) I love the aussie open but it always has the worst schedule for me... :ras: Maybe if I wake up early I will see some live action. ;)
Thanks for the link to the video with the interview!
Vamos Juan!! :bigclap:
