Gicquel at the Open
Zverev at Bangkok
Benneteau at Metz
Melzer at Vienna
Soderling at Madrid

Massu at Sydney

Some close third setters but also some beatdowns against Giquel, Soderling, and Massu. The last set he won was against Melzer in October.

Thanks for that. I had to go so could not check the ATP activity site. Wow this is definitely NOT the JCF from 2003. Sorry for the understatement :p

Man, that's quite a losing streak. 6 isn't that many...but it is the length of time since his last win which is most interesting :tape:

Ferrero had match point against melzer in Vieana.

very unlucky that match he was.

I dont get ferrero. He murders nadal, blake, soderling and robredo in america then loses like this.

Players like Gicquel on a relatively fast court aren't a great match for him...and, indeed, all the players he lost to in the last stages of 2006 weren't a great match for him. I guess you could also say Massu is pretty tough, even on a hardcourt. But yeah, by the law of averages, you'd expect him to have won at least 2 of those 6 matches he lost.

Those are embarassing, really embarassing losses.
