Well done Moya, your ability to run around backhands in modern tennis still astounds me. :) And I hope you win the tournament.

Yeah, when people tank, they often come back from a break down to take the second set when already one set behind :retard:

Word! If he finds his form of old, he's still easily top 10 material. Let's hope...

third set gasqet has love 40 on moyas serve and cannot win one point of 2 second serves :retard: ther is no reason for richie to lose in the third set :retard: Moya has been playing much more and has to be exhausted right now, richie tanked.:retard:

Are you being intentionally thick? What's more likely, Gasquet being unable to win a point on two of Moya's second serves while trying or Gasquet tanking after coming back from a break down in the second to force a decider?

P.S. Om du verkligen tror på skiten du skriver, vilket jag betvivlar, kan ett psykologbesök vara på sin plats...

I like Moya but he has only won 30 matches each year last 2 years and he isnt getting any younger. Crazy to say he will be top 10 this year.

Moya top 10? Come on let's be serious here.

With his game from 2004, he'd easily be top 10 today. Are you telling me he wouldn't be able to displace someone like Robredo? I agree, let's be serious here.

That's not what I said. I said that IF (see, a condition) he finds his game from a few years back, he has a good shot at it. I didn't say it wasn't a big if.

Let's not forget he was down match points to a guy who had never won an ATP match in the 1st round. He had no business winning that and if he would of lost none of this talk would be going on.

And if Holly Valance were a man, I probably wouldn't find her hot. So what? That's not the case.

do you even know what tanked means? if he tanked he never would have been up 0-40 to begin with. Having watched the match i would certainly say that Gasquet was not at his best but at no point did he look like he wasn't trying.

let's not forget he won that match and what the hell does "he had no business winning that" mean? It's a tennis match - you either win or you lose - Moya won and has gradually found his form playing extremely tough tennis and now we're talking about how much better he's playing. I have no idea if you've watched his last two matches but if you did i can't imagine how you could talk this way.

The only reason Moya ever dropped so low in the rankings is because of his shoulder severely limiting all aspects of his game. Sure it's a big if to say "if he stays healthy" but if he does he's going to climb back up the rankings because he's still very fit and obviously as a former number 1 and GS winner still a class above most players on tour on ability.

P.S. And, I must add, his forehand is a joy to watch every time he hits it.

Good match from moya, theyw ay he has been getting around to that forehand and spanking winners of it is incredible. He deserved the win and was only a real loss of concentration that second set at 3-1 up that let it go.

Blake vs. Moya will be a good final to watch tomorrow.

It is gonna be weird for both men when they also play in the 1st round of Oz. Kind of a downer for both since both are playing well going into Oz.

very dissapointed by Richard :(
how can he expect to seriously make the top 10 losing to players like Moya??
i wouldn t have had any problem had he lost against Blake but against Moya(who is not what he used to be,that's the least we can say)....
oki let's be optimistic and say that Richard has at least began his season better than last year.....:o

Ha! I'm loving all these positive Moya comments here ... :)

Carlos is not dead. Vamos Carlos! I believe. Actually wish I was in Sydney right now, would love a ticket to this final.
But I'm off to A.O., already got my tix. for Melbourne. So I'll see Moya v. Blake (part 1) on TV, then Moya v. Blake (Part 2) live in Melbourne I hope ... But I don't have any night tix. for the first Mon. or Tues., so I'm hoping the 'powers that be' give these guys a break and not put them back on court 'til Tues. after Moya wins in a nail-biting 3-set final in Sydney ... (and that's Tuesday DAY, people, hear me? I only have a Tuesday 16th DAY ticket for RLA, so put them in there, last match of the day please!?! Or Vodafone either day will do... :) )

Errr, I predict a brilliant Sydney final (eg. 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (4) to Carlos???)
Then, of course, these guys will be completely exhausted and the Melbourne re-match will be a fizzer, prob. James winning it in straights, and me seeing Moya go out in the first round 3 years in a row for the last 3 trips I've had to Melbourne, sweating and cursing courtside while watching him :(
Hmmm, let's hope not. It would be unbelievable if Moya won both - too good to be true!!!
The one GOOD thing about all this is how wonderful on the eyes it will be to watch these 2 guys fighting each other twice in a couple of days ... luv it!

I expected a different result, but Carlos seems in good form to start the year. He mush lead the ATP race now!

Richie will get a little rest before AO, his start of the year is not too bad, especially in comparison with previous years.
