It's about time that he starts getting a few WCs. There were a lot of times last year when he should've got one so, at least, the last 3 have sort of made up for it.

Agreed...hopefully he will get a good draw and win a few rounds so he can get his ranking up so he won't need these wildcards.
I wonder how they determine who is should get wildcards...is it the USTA in the US? I know at our Challenger event in Dallas, the club owner wanted to give Andrew Illie a wild card because he was working out of club for several months last year. But I understand that he couldn't receive a WC since he was not from the US and they try to reserve those for promising american players.
Does anyone know the wildcard process for Challengers and ATP events?

I thought Baghdatis received a wild card to the qualifying to Miami b/c he won the Junior's Orange Bowl? Any news on this player's progress?

He's 18, if not already 19.
He's certainly not any younger than Nadal is.
I saw him play in the first round at the USO last year. I only watched a few games, because he was playing awful. At least, that's what I assume, since some of you insist he has talent, he must have just been having an off day. I wasn't impressed. Maybe he was nervous.

This was supposed to be his first full year as a pro but he's only played the Cherbourg Challenger in France last month and, I believe, lost 1st round. He's ranked in the 180s last I checked so he could be playing some good Challengers but he's nowhere to be found  .

Oh no, Alex Bogomolov Jr.!?! What a waste of a wildcard. The other choices are good choices. Gooooo Todd!

The ATP site has him at 4/30/1985
So he's not 19 just yet. But he does share my birthday, so maybe I like him more already.
I knew he was 18 last year at some point. I think it was because I made a point of seeing him at the USO... and I already pointed out how well that went.

These recipients are great, I like them all. I expected them to give Alex Corretja a wildcard though.
