Well, I was staying at the Sheraton LaGuardia and I didn't see any. :p I did see an official USO vehicle outside of an apartment on my way home though, but that wasn't at a hotel.

I would choose my hotel based on distance from the stadium or shuttle service availability. ;)

Not all the players will stay in the same hotel. So eventhough there might be an "official" players hotel, that doesnt mean the players you want to see will be there.

If it's anything like Wimbledon and Roland Garros, it's such a big tournament (including all the qualifiers as well) that there will be a about 5 or 6 "official" Hotels, plus many of the top players will prefer to rent an apartment for a couple of weeks where they can have more privacy.

I believe Nadal stayed somewhere near Central Park. And Fed's hotel was right across from Madison Avenue.

Rosie is right - they stay all over the City. It's not like smaller tournaments where they tend to stay in one hotel.

You can see player shuttles for the US Open with a number of hotel names driving around the Midtown area during the two weeks.

Grand Hyatt used to be a popular hotel with the players (right next to Grand Central), but not sure if it still is.
