Wow Mirny Your Confident............

Read what I said... :p

If not decided in a 3rd set tiebreaker, then I'd go for 1/5 or 2/10 or 20%.

i would say about 4/10 unless it goes to a third set tiebreak, then the chances would be about 9/10

Former number one v/s someone who never was top 10 . I say 100% for Carlos Moyá .

Carlos will defeat to overrated Richi

It depends on how Carlos recovers. It's not as Gasquet is the king of consistency anyway so there are a number of factors.

They are both in my top 3 favourite players so it doesn't matter to me to be honest.

Gasquet has already defeated a former number 1(Safin) and even better, the current number one(Federer)!

That's 10yrs of experience you want to ignore. It's not a complete negative.

I'm going for Carlos with an 8/10 chance. And, of course, make that 10/10 if it goes to a 3rd set tiebreak.:D

I need Gasquet to win this match for suicide tennis so Im hoping that Moya's chances are about zero, but I seriously thought about taking Melzer over Blake instead of Gasquet over Moya so I guess taht says how I feel about this match.

actually yeah I agree somewhere between 35-55%

A more fair mean percentage about 48%, given that he still has a good fighting spirit and seems to be in decent shape.

Interesting that you should mention the 10-year age gap, it makes comparisons very convenient.... worth pointing out that if Gasquet is to follow a similar path to Moya he must make the AO final around two weeks from now.

Homo_Esperanto

Moya now really must be very very tired after SF in Chennai, travelling to Australia, coping with the time difference and now this tough matches.

Besides Gasquet plays really terrific and consistent, so i would say today the chances of Moya are just like 20 % or so

I wasn't saying that at all i was simply responding the assertion that the fact Carlos had been number one and Richard has never been top ten would would be the difference by saying that they are at completely different points of their careers.

True, but this final came a bit out of nowhere for Carlos. At that time, he was ranked 30 and had won 2 minor titles. Richard has not to be afraid of the comparison. For a final this year, with Federer in QF, and Baghy in 3rd round, it sounds a bit far fetched for Richie. :)
