Moya's record of 3rd set tiebreakers is one of the most amazing ones in tennis, close to the likes of 62 straight wins on clay by Nadal or 24 straight finals won by Federer.

Carlos is awesome :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

But it could be difficult in SF, his tank must be empty , after SF in Chennai, then trip to Australia and three 3set matches in row , But I hope he will give his best in semis

Two SFs in row , that sounds good, and I hope critics who wrote him down will eat their worlds as he will continue his wins in AO.

Baggy seems to be out of form before AO, but maybe he will raise his level for GS as he had done before Wimby (he played crap tennis before Wimby but still made the SF with some great wins over Murray and Hewitt) if not he will drop out of Top20 really fast

Is the Moya forehand back from the dead? Is the shoulder finally healed? Can he make a run at RG this year? Do fish sleep? Why don't they make the whole plane out of the stuff the black box is made out of? If trees could talk what would they say?

Stay tuned...

Very impressive but not in the league of those two you mention IMO.

GREAT WIN!

I think that Carlos read few days ago the posts of MofaFobics and MoyaHaters and proposed himself to silence them with some wins in Sydney. He reached 2 SFs in a row, the only one who has done it this 2007.

Good luck tomorrow

wow, baghsatis can lose to anyone at any time, but well done carlos for scraping out another tight win. however, neither of them will do well next week. moya is expending too much energy, mental and physical, with these third set tebreak wins and baghdatis just has no form and cant cope with life at the top yet

In terms of how remote is the possibility of being any of those records broken I'd say it's about the same (that is to say, in terms of how difficult is to achieve any of those records).

Now, if you mean if they can be compared in terms of importance, of course they are in totally different leagues; Moya's is kind of a funny or curious record whereas the others are really serious ones. So, under that perspective, I'd agree.

so glad i always kept the faith. Carlos showed so much grit in this and match and came up with some amazing plays on tight points in the third. The forehand was back to it's lethal best but he made life hard for himself constantly running around his backhand on return of serve but i understand why he thinks he needs to it - it came off towards the end more.

Honeslty all i care about is that he looked fit and showed the world that he still has the ability to play like a top 10 player. I've found it painful watching him play the last couple of years but this match was a pure joy!
