That's a wrong way to the Top 10, Seb :( Well, he still plays in doubles with Gael: Grosjean/Monfils d T Johansson/Ljubicic 64 16 10-8. But since their next opponents are Knowles/Nestor (2) I suppose Seb'll be in Sydney in time.

Hmmm... does anyone see differences between Seb Version Nov'06:

...and Seb Version Jan'07?

There is a short interview on his website, he says it was so hard to play since it's incredibly cold in Doha (not over 7°). He's happy about his backhand, the rest of his game was crap, apparently.
He says he's leaving tomorrow for Sydney, so I guess he will withdraw from the doubles tournament? In the video of the doubles match, he seems indeed to have fun - except when they win, he's pulling a long face then.

He was asked in L'Équipe why he didn't play Adelaide since he wants to go to Australia as soon as possible now. Here's his answer:
Because they have the round-robin system over there and I'm definitely against it. The qualies are shorter. With the first round for the low-ranked players, we have to play 6 matches instead of 5, while everybody is saying we should play less matches. Nobody understands the system, even the players. They had to explain everything again to the players in Adelaide on the first day. Apparently, the decision is taken by the tournament directors and it's a shame nobody asked the players. If they keep up to this system, the better players will be even more safe, they won't fail two times in a row, and you'll have on short term only 30-40 players who can live from tennis..."
