Yes, I just saw Tommy Haas beat Srichaphan on the Tennis Channel.
Wow, if Tommy keeps this up, he'll be one of the hottest players this
year! Besides fantastic play, he was glowing with super confidence.

Keep dreaming. Anyways, good luck to Haas. I had the chance to see him play live, and he is looking on top of his form. I think his Enqvist win was a real boost.

I am extremely shocked and pleased to see these tremendous results right from the start! Tommy is definitely back and he means business. I'd love to see him beat up on Costa like he did to Srichy and then have his amazing rivalry with Hewitt renewed. I believe their H2H is an even 5-5... soon to be 6-5 Haas. ;) Oh, how I wish.

My three boys are doing so well thus far in IW. Maybe one of them can make the final at Rog's or Dre's expense.

in my opinion, Tommy has much more game than Roger. But Roger is confident know, and Tommy is just coming back. But in time, Tommy will replace Roger at the top.

You really think so? I remember Haas from when he was having a strong season back in 2002, and he seemed to have a fairly one-dimensional game to me. I know he was developed by Bollettieri (sp?) as this all-court player, but I recall him just hitting huge aggressive groundstrokes several feet behind the baseline. Changes of pace and net approaches were few and far between.

I think Haas is a very good player and i'm really looking forward to seeing him in the top10 again :)

I agree, for the most part. He certainly doesn't have as complete a game as Federer. His net play doesn't compare, for one thing, nor do his returns or anticipation.

I always hated how Haas would continuously drift further and further behind the baseline, even against guys like David Sanchez on fast US Open hard courts! He got away with it on that occassion, but when he tried playing from several feet behind the baseline against Ferrero and Agassi on clay and Sampras on hard that same year, he was destroyed each time. Hopefully Bolleteri has helped Haas to correct that bad habit and to become more aggressive. He's got the serve and groundstroke power to dictate most points from inside the baseline.
