I'm 22, I'm in my final year of university (but I'm doing it over 2 years, if that makes sense!) In Land Management and Conservation. I'm in a volunteer program at the moment which I'm hoping will lead to employment eventually. I have time to kill though, 2 years part time at uni. It is. A gambling problem is a problem no matter you win or lose. You're only 18 and I really hope you get some help SOON.

Sorry if I sound harsh but I know too many people have their lives screwed because of gambling and/or alcohol. In addition, the most innocent ones, their children.

I was born in the states, but I am also a Lebanese citizen, cause I have lived there a lot. I am currently living in the states, and wont return to Lebanon until I am 33. Once I turned 18, the second I set foot in Lebanon I will get drafted to the army, and only until I am 33 can I get around that.

Definetly not a problem frooty !!! if your on a good run stay on it !!! i ahev good and bad runs but analyse and sit back after a loss, I would stick wit my beliefs, I have had great week and my money was paid in today from weekend so I did a food and drink shop today and treated myself.

If you remember golden rules never to bet more that you can afford to lose and you love sports your betting on anyway I dont see a problem.

when your sock is starting to show through your trainer and you smell of beer and are shaking like a leaf to get the bet on thats when its a problem LOL

I cant ever see me becoming an addicted gambler as I rarely ever bet on horses I like bets where i get value for money and some entertainment from it even if i lose.

But I got seriously ill at the end of July and wasn't able to go to work since then (so I think I'm unemployed now ...). My cardiologist doesn't want me to go!

I'm 27 (female) and though I don't have my offer letter just yet, I'm to be an Information Technology Analyst at a local university. :)

Update: I'm starting this position on November 27th (which is my parents' 31st anniversary  ).

21 (until the end of the month), Tech Support CSR for an internet company

Not a technical person by nature though, I have a degree in Marketing & Management, but during my time at uni I was too lazy to try and get any experience, and then I bummed around for a bit too long after graduating, so I'll be taking the longer road to get into my preferred profession :)

:wavey: I'm not a technical person by education, my degree is a Bachelor of Business Administration. After uni I worked for Adecco (temp employment agency) in London doing various office jobs, then came back to America and found a place in an IT firm that specialized in real estate property information. I learned MS Access there and within 6 months I was asked to join the Customer Service/Technical Support department for a suite of products that included books, CD software, and online services with no formal training at all - had to just use my own natural analytical abilities. From there I got involved in a lot of technical writing and did trainings as we transitioned our call center to an offshore vendor. I spent 4 years with the company and now I'm able to translate the skills I learned - tech support, technical writing, and training - to a position in the public sector (state funded university). So now 5 years after I left my uni I'll be at a new one and starting in January I'll be able to take free technical classes as uni staff. Good luck to you.

Still 13 in Year 9? You must be the youngest student in your year. I was turned 14 in Year 9 on 21st of August, and i was the second youngest student, in my year. When's your birthday?

in 2 months I will be 14 and I am in year 8

I think it's a positive thing to be older than any students. I hate being the youngest student, because all my friends turned 18 and i was still 17. Because, I couldn't able go clubbing or go for drinks till you're 18! :o
