Limerick by Jon Wertheim:

There was one a player Nalbandian,
A swift-footed, mulleted Andean
No one's one-hit wonder,
He rends foes asunder
With stamina and winners forehandian

Well, he used to have one back in the glory days of 2002... Wertheim hasn't kept up with his latest fashion changes. More importantly, he also hasn't kept up with the playing situation of Nalbandian since he describes him as an "injury-free" competitor, which he most certainly isn't at the moment. Word of advice Jon, leave the rapping to someone who knows his stuff (and I don't mean Vince Spadea either).

Sjengster: You heard Spadea rap? He's supposed to show off his skills on the Tennis Channel, according to Wertheim...

David does have a mullet-long hair ala Agassi circa 1988. And yes, David has gone through some interesting fashion changes-the tattoo being the most notable....

No I haven't, I'm just going by reports of his rapping skills (or lack thereof). It is indeed a frightening thought...

That would be the first viable argument I've heard yet against getting the Tennis Channel.

Did he display a scintillating grasp of the musical medium, Naldo? Were his lyrics pearls of rapping genius? Will he be making it to a record store any time soon, d'you reckon? I wonder if he ingeniously incorporated his trademark dying-animal grunt into the song...

BTW, as we are making fun of him, guess we should also give him props for winning his 1st ATP title after X number of years on the circuit...

I didn't see or hear it, but just the thought of it would make the music industry lose any shred of credibility it has left-if someone signs him to a contract. Any takers? Eminem? Dr. Dre? 50 Cent?
