Thanks.

Like how it would look to be spelled! LleytonMonfils 01-27-2008, 11:01 AM I pronounced it like hole too haha alelysafina 01-27-2008, 11:03 AM Hole?? realy.... I've never thought of it that way. But yes, Nole like Mole, Frijoles, etc. FluffyYellowBall 01-27-2008, 11:12 AM sae here.. Nole hole mole...I found out when i heard some serbs cheering and i managed to read mum and dads lips~! Kristen 01-27-2008, 11:16 AM I was the same, but I still think of it as in 'hole'. It's like Dancevic...I know how you're meant to say it, but in my head I combine a few different [incorrect] ways :tape: It's a wonder I can say Björkman, right? And yeah, byorkman. Commentators here always drove me nuts by saying joe-nus, and then saying his surname correctly. Retards. Mark Woodforde should know better. *snowflake* 01-27-2008, 11:33 AM Is dan-se-vich correct? thats how the commentaters say it..I thought it was Dan-ke-vich...And its byorkman Considering his Slavic backround he's probably Dan-che-vich...but it may have changed it's pronunciation in Canada And Nole would be No-leh, like when you say "olé", but the accent is on "o" FluffyYellowBall 01-27-2008, 11:36 AM That's how it is in my head... but I think Frank said in an interview Peta_Pan showed me, it's dan-chuh-vich. That's sort of like when someone is named Jean-Robert. If you're really american, it's Jean (Jeen...) Robert. Or, if you're able, pronounce it like it should be: Jahn Roh-behr (I suck at doing pronunciation things, but you get the point!) What I hate is when people say: Jeen Roh-behr or Jahn Robert. Pronounce it one way or the other, don't mix and match :tape: And, I find myself all the time pronouncing players names wrong  But usually, I prefer my pronounciation anyway  and continue to use it! I<3Lindsay 01-27-2008, 11:55 AM And who merged these 2 threads? How ridiculous... That one hasn't been posted in in almost a year, and it's not even related at all  savesthedizzle 01-27-2008, 11:58 AM I did. Hi I'm the moderator and actually it IS the same topic since in the first post of thread he asked how it's pronounced. Some GM mod moved it in here, and we don't really need duplicate threads. And I didn't see the part about pronounciation in his post . I'm not upset, I don't care at all really, I just thought it was a little odd  Manon 01-27-2008, 02:50 PM Novak!! Nole (giving nicknames for everything and everybody is veryyy bad habbit in Serbia) sounds awfull. Novak is the great name and should stay that.
