Indoor Hard I assume? scoobs 11-21-2006, 08:54 AM indoor hard. looks a reasonable paced court. Very competitive match but also a few light moments between them, smiling and a bit of banter. But they've played some amazing points that have had them both scrambling all over the place. scoobs 11-21-2006, 08:57 AM Their shotmaking is very serious but their attitudes seem very lighthearted. silverwhite 11-21-2006, 09:03 AM Score? :p scoobs 11-21-2006, 09:06 AM Nadal takes the second set. Sunset of Age 11-21-2006, 09:38 AM ...and Rafa changes his shirt. Love the way Roger pointed at Rafa, as if to tell the cameraman, "You should be filming THAT." Heheh. It sure looked like that! deliveryman 11-21-2006, 09:38 AM Roger was very good at the net today. He seemed like he wanted to end points very quickly. Perhaps a little tired. lshdure 11-21-2006, 09:38 AM And now they're sat having a chat. what a relax! peteslamz 11-21-2006, 09:41 AM Off-topic, but I could do without their Sharapova promos. :o Yeah, what's that all about? The commentators keep mentioning her name lshdure 11-21-2006, 09:46 AM In the interview, both of them are doing good job making fans entertaining. scoobs 11-21-2006, 09:48 AM Ah well, that seems to be that. No more from them until January. amierin 11-21-2006, 09:51 AM The feed could have been better but I enjoyed it. We won't see them in the same events until Oz. Good match! scoobs 11-21-2006, 09:56 AM I know that one doesn't count for anything but...3 in a row to Roger now, Rafa... Sunset of Age 11-21-2006, 10:00 AM I know that one doesn't count for anything but...3 in a row to Roger now, Rafa... I don't think they were that serious about this match... Both of them smiling quite often - I never see them doing that during a serious match. So we should not put too much weight on the result, IMHO. scoobs 11-21-2006, 10:02 AM I don't think they were that serious about this match... Both of them smiling quite often - I never see them doing that during a serious match. So we should not put too much weight on the result, IMHO. Oh I know. I'm not giving it any weight. But equally I believe that they both played to win even if they weren't particularly bothered about losing. Sunset of Age 11-21-2006, 10:04 AM Oh I know. I'm not giving it any weight. But equally I believe that they both played to win even if they weren't particularly bothered about losing. Yeah, you may well be right there. Rogi appeared a lot more relaxed than Rafa in his interview - Rafa looked a bit uneasy about the situation. Very cute, though! scoobs 11-21-2006, 10:06 AM Yeah, you may well be right there. Rogi appeared a lot more relaxed than Rafa in his interview - Rafa looked a bit uneasy about the situation. Very cute, though! He's such a shy little cutie. Sunset of Age 11-21-2006, 10:09 AM He's such a shy little cutie. Yeah, Rafa's cutesy-cutesiness came through very well, lol. Got the impression Rogi would agree on that too.  lshdure 11-21-2006, 10:09 AM Yeah, you may well be right there. Rogi appeared a lot more relaxed than Rafa in his interview - Rafa looked a bit uneasy about the situation. Very cute, though! it's because of his english, isn't it? scoobs 11-21-2006, 10:17 AM Well, the interviewer was being really awkward/artless with her questions. "Are you guys friends?" :tape:  I like the way they each answered the "What do you think of the other guy?" question - Roger was very generous, and Rafa I think was a bit more candid about the whole being-#1-and-#2-but-still-friendly business. It was great because they were both actually talking to each other, except through the interviewer. Maybe they should sort it out with an exhibition pillow-fight   Sunset of Age 11-21-2006, 10:17 AM it's because of his english, isn't it? I think so, most definitely. It must be pretty hard to have to speak out to a huge crowd in a foreign language you don't really feel comfortable with, so all kudos to Rafa for managing the way he did! :worship: Sunset of Age 11-21-2006, 10:19 AM Well, the interviewer was being really awkward/artless with her questions. They both had nice things to say. It was great because they were both actually talking to each other, except through the interviewer. Oh yes, I thought it was pretty embarrassing for the both of them! They handled it in a very gracious way, though. lshdure 11-21-2006, 10:33 AM [QUOTE=J'torian;4482839]Well, the interviewer was being really awkward/artless with her questions. "Are you guys friends?" :tape:  Please understand Asian (Korean culture); the term "friend" in Korea is more serious and close relationship than we (Westerners) think. That's why she asked in that way. avocadoe 11-21-2006, 10:34 AM I just couldn't get up, oh well, sounds like a nice match for the fan, some vvv good tennis too...thanks for the reports, maybe someone wil l youtube some parts :) Sunset of Age 11-21-2006, 10:37 AM [QUOTE=J'torian;4482839]Well, the interviewer was being really awkward/artless with her questions. Thanks for explaining! :wavey: amierin 11-21-2006, 11:50 AM Thanks for the explanation J'torian. I thought she might be more used to interviewing pop stars because the questions sounded simplistic to these Western ears. amierin 11-21-2006, 11:53 AM Oh I know. I'm not giving it any weight. But equally I believe that they both played to win even if they weren't particularly bothered about losing. I agree. Nothing is ever casual between these two. Fed did acknowledge Rafa is his chief rival without using the one dimensional quote. Just an exo, they both got paid well, and they put on a good show for the fans both in Korea and those crazy enough, like me, to get up at the crack of dawn to watch them play. bedfordfalls8000 11-21-2006, 04:07 PM So, was this match televised outside Korea?? Does anyone record this match? Please PM me if you did, thank you..... mandoura 11-21-2006, 06:22 PM Maybe they should sort it out with an exhibition pillow-fight   :haha: :haha: * :o Imagining the fight  * Oh yes, I thought it was pretty embarrassing for the both of them! They handled it in a very gracious way, though. Haven't seen it, I'll take your word for it. :) Speaking of which, were Mirka or Toni there? I saw neither of them. :aplot: ileana 11-21-2006, 08:48 PM some recordings posted here: http://www.menstennisforums.com/showpost.php?p=4485084&postcount=5981 not very good quality of the stream, though  | |
