I thought it would be interesting if we all got to know a little bit about each other and how everyone reached the Masters Cup to make it a little bit more interesting.

Cervantes
11-06-2006, 10:30 AM
Name: Martijn Schrijvershof
Age: 27
Hometown: Maarssen, The Netherlands
Favourite Player: Roger Federer (since Rotterdam 1999)
Plays: Left handed, double handed backhand (mostly)
Play like: Nadal - lefthanded with lots of spin in both serve and forehand (allthough I'm nowhere near as good ;))
Want to play like: Berdych/Safin - just blowing people of the court would be my prefered playing style but I don't have the power or the balls to keep doing that.

Main qualification results:

Semi finalist in both Roland Garros and the US Open, top 10 finishes in the other Grand Slams.
Titles: Doha and Bejing. Finalist: Bastad (losing to robus on the final day thx to Davydenko)
Only 1 top 25 finish in 9 Masters Series tournaments (9th in Madrid).

Other facts:

Screwed up in both Indian Wells and Miami by missing the start of the tournament.
Trying to retain my #1 ranking in Shanghai allthough that could prove difficult with so many people close together in the top.

Name: Mark
Age: 26
Hometown: Sydney, Australia
Favourite Player: Lleyton Hewitt (pre the Bec Cartwright slump)
Plays: Right Handed.
Wishes he played like: Santoro, because it would be a hell of a lot of fun to frustrate the crap out of those big serving galoots on the ATP tour that only have the one game plan!
What he actually looks like when he plays: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbaGXiiSI_Y

Main Qualification Results

Consistency was the key this year for the soft serving Aussie as he managed to play a Davydenko like 35 tournaments in which he managed to finish in the top 20 23 times.

Titles: Beaunos Aires & Halle
Runner Up: Sydney

Grand Slam Results
Australian Open: 10th
French Open: 16th
Wimbledon: 33rd
US Open: 53rd

Masters Series Results
Indian Wells: 22nd
Miami: 15th
Monte Carlo: 84th
Rome: 18th
Hamburg: 3rd
Toronto: 6th
Cincinnati: 10th
Madrid: 71st
Paris: 17th

Other facts:

* He likes long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners and ........ whoops wrong site
* He is the defending Masters Cup Champion after defeating arch nemesis Bad Gambler in a tight five setter last year and will be back to defend his title after finishing seventh in this seasons points race.
* Finally for all the female fans of the PAW tour, yes he is still single so there is still hope for you yet ;)

Hey everyone -

I'm T.J. from the Washington DC suburbs but proudly representing the Rock of Gibraltar...

Plays - right handed, one handed backhand baseliner. Wears Adidas clothes and Prince racquet. Serve and net game need work, but did have a good record and made the playoffs in summer league.

Favorite players are Gasquet, Safin and Guga

Won the Aussie Open and made it to #1 this year, trying to get back there...

You're also nowhere near as good as Nadal? Wow :p And don't worry 'bout those 6 days, at 27 no one's couting those anymore ;)

hi, I'm hallso (you can call me Greg), I'm 22, live in Warsaw, Poland
my favourite player is Roger Federer (since AO 2002)
I'm right-handed, with one-handed something-like-backhand
my style? nobody knows what will happen, especially I and in difficult moments. What can I say? I'm typical choker

same as LukeLasko, my first year in this game. By the way, I'd like to thanks him, that we travel, live and work together during hole season. I can't imagine how can I get through it all alone :p

I won Las Vegas, but I'm here because of good performances in first 3 masters, I'm weak in grand slams, I hate clay tournaments: that's why I see my chances in Shangai :)

Good luck all, but especially 3 polish players (I'm really proud of us ;) )

I joined MTF the other day
Bought a new racket and went to play
I thought of great fun
what a mistake
instead of that
was full of ache

I'm feelin' pretty good right now
and learned to play! - I don't know how?
'Freestyler' call me mates at court
though win some games- that's not my fault

I wake up to the TV sports
follow matches and check scores
adrenaline gets me so high
I missed again - why, why ,why?

In front of PC another day
next tournament to run or play
What's more exhausting It's hard to tell
posting a PAw or real game?

Wish I had Andy Roddick's serve
with Roger Federer's style and nerve

**************

A few facts about me:

Name: Robert
Age: 31
Hometown: Poland, Kędzierzyn-Koźle
Favourite Player: Blake, Haas, Ljubicic
Plays: right handed, one handed backhand and forehand.
Play like? I don't know. I play like me, it's a freestyle.

Main qualification results:
WINNER: Chennai, Bastad
RUNNER-UP: New Haven, USOpen, Bucharest
(and won match against my wife last week :D)
