Good solid win Igor. But a poor quality match.

Monfils was so bad that if I didn't know him and his game so well, I would have thought he tanked. 43 unforced errors, 27 of them in the first (terrible) set.

Good for Igor, he's an entertaining player.

What I saw of this match showed a horrible game from Monfils although all the same it's a nice win for Andreev :)

I think all Monfils does is "show horrible game". Looks like a bug-eyed giraffe swinging a baseball bat out on the court. 0-4 in the matches I've seen, and it sems his game is getting worse instead of improving.

Welcome back Igor! :bigclap:

glad Igor and his forehand are back - but Gael shouldn't have been here, he needs some time off badly.

Well played Igor and he fought hard and he was so relieved at the end as for Monfils instead of his usual play, he decided to be like Gonzalez of old trying to smack everything.

thought he was gonna come back next year... oh well gratz to Iggy! :yeah:
I always loved his FH...

I'm telling you...Gael has a LOT of game...he just has to learn to put it all together...Look at Roger when he was 18...he was getting killed because he had all the shots, but didn't know how to construct points. Not to say that Gael is the next Roger, but I believe he is a definite top five and future slam winner...Patience is necessary...
