Nice thread.:D
Safin 'll get the highest result on board i guess for different reasons. For me Safin/Clement are the ones who have their names in round 2, so they 've the priority :) unless....
Nadal decides to get some confidence back and gives it some fight, or of course, decides to get defeated from round 1.

I am a Fan of Nadal BTW.

Safin will be the first to beat him. Then Rafa will beat himself -- over a picture of Mirka, wishing he was Roger instead of a one-trick pony. :p

I think this draw is a double bluff from Uncle Toni. He's made it preposterously difficult for Rafa, forcing him to play every one of his worst matchups on tour, so nobody smells a rat. But when the Grand Slams come around, Rafa will have his usual cupcake draw again. :)

i would say diffently safin even with his losses these season safin has fought to the end nearly all of his matches have gone three set.
Nadal could win it all the game he played against berdych was one of the best i seen him play this season and he still lost.
The game would have give rafatards something to smile about maybe he's getting back to his time will tell.

I would like Safin to beat him, but he's not reliable :o , so i'll say Blake :)

As much as I would love to see Marat do it, I highly doubt he will. Watch him struggle against Clement. Clement has beaten Nadal this year, so maybe he can do it.

Gasquet. Safin isn't etched in stone.

Nadal will beat Gasquet, if he beats Safin (which I think he will).

Blake's a diffrent story. If Blake plays at a high level, then Rafa's out.

But maybe if Nadal wins this, he will shut up everybody about him not being able to handle tough draws (It dosent get much harder than this draw). It will NOT be easy at all to win this. We'll see.

Vamos Rafa!

Gasquet. Safin isn't etched in stone.

Neither is Gasquet. Wawrinka and Gicquel have been in good form this week.

Hopefully Safin - but he's not too reliable...

If Rafa does get past Safin, Blake should take him out (again, providing he's playing well...).

Well if Gasquet win Lyon ,he'll lose his first match in Paris. That's a fact.
I'd love to see him against Nadal though.

What a draw for Nadal.....
Could it be any harder, provided that all those big names survive?

I voted for Marat, just because I so want him to.
But in case he doesn't get past Clement, I want Gasquet.

Safin. not only that this is his favourite tournament but he knows also how important it is for him, especially now and i'm sure that he'll show his best tennis. and when this happens, nadal would better start packing his bags. ;)

Every player of them can make it - maybe Gasquet. Nadal is very one-dimensional. He won only on clay courts. When he lose playing in Madrit ( he was very liked and popular there ), that's logical, that he will lose in Paris too. He is not particularly nice seen in Paris . His behavior in Madrit showed, that he is very unpleasant for better players. I don't understand, why some people are so insistent and think, that only one Nadal must win every tournment. Don't you think, that it is so boring and unilateral, as his play?

i don t think Nadal will beat Gasquet on this surface.....and coming from me,that says something considering my pessimistic mood about Gasquet those days :p

The highest place for Nadal is semi.
One of these neckbreakers will stop him: Safin, Gasquet, Blake, or Berdych/Nalby.
At least now he can feel the taste of Roger's path at Wilbledon:devil:

It depends which safin we get. Last weeks safin will probably beat nadal but if he loses to clement, hes got the home crowd and he beat him him before. nadal should still beat him though

Hmm? Safin has everything needed to beat Nadal, most importantly a huge ass body frame.
