Andy was right when he said that Federer was improving, abd was right when he said it was scary, he doesn't have any weakness at all right now! His backhand is much better than at the start of the season

Bagle #18 for this year, six more than the old record. :)

Federer's backhand has come on an awful lot - it's still weak up high but it's a much bigger weapon off the ground than it used to be.

He's handing out bagel sets regularly these days - it's been a supreme effort since Cincy from him, he's looked totally awesome.

Another nice little practice session.

Gave up only 5 games in four sets
so far? Not too shabby. :D

He's been on a mission these last couple of weeks. What's that now, 5 games he's lost in the first two rounds? Yikes. :scared:

The only way to beat Roger is when he gets bored with tennis or he is suffering from some form of injury. That's scary!

Roger is playing so relaxed, so at will..and his level is scary..

His backhand has stunningly improved...

he could hit any shot he wanted to esp. in that second set, no pressure. it was almost like a practice session.

Previously it was 12 (also held by Roger in 2004 I think?),

Roger now has 18 this season so far.

Wrong Garcia-Lopez actually exposed Federer's weakness in that second set, started to play the right tactique - Federer's high backhand, and it worked in a few points. I saw Lopez smile after the first of them. Federer looked somwehat displeased, despite winning - he realised that he can still be seriously put off on that way

But then Garcia payed the high price - he played awfull on his part in that second set and got baggeled

There's an awful lot of moaning going on because, at the end of the season, Federer is still going, like the Energizer bunny, while his rivals are all nursing their ankel injuries or complaining about their achey biceps.

Me, I'm really enjoying this. Let's go Rogi - win Basel, win Paris, and then I want a whitewash in Shanghai.

I was thinking the same thing. How nice to have your fave playing and winning (speaking for myself of course) after such a successful year.

I love you, Roger!

are not a complete overreaction to a routine win? He beats Zib, a qualifier with absolutely no weapons and is ranked 129 in the world, and Garcia-Lopez, and you guys are acting like he just knocked out Sampras at Wimbledon circa 1995. I just find your overreactions to be :haha: is all. :)

 I don't understand your point exactly. Why would you gloat over other player's injuries when just last year it was Roger who suffered a nasty end-of-year ankle injury himself?
