Fed doesn't have 10 grand slams....at least not until the aussie open.

Impossible to know. They won what they did with that particular racket, and there is no knowing the counterfactual, that is, if they could have won it or would have lost it (everything else the same) with another brand.

Guess I cant blame my dearth of grand slams on the racket any longer!

Minus the sarcasm -- theoretically, yes; realistically, no.

feel free to give me info on players and their rackets. i looked for sabatini and saw her using both yonex and prince; same thing with navartilova so i can't put them on.

i went down the list of winners at the grand slam websites. all the major gs winners in the 90s up to now are included. not my fault those three use wilsons.

what are you, 12 years old? Thinking of taking up tennis? I recommend working on your reading comprehension first.

Thanks for the compiling the info, lordmanji. Not sure that it makes a huge difference, and it probably has more to do with each company's respective power to sign the bigger stars than the racquets themselves.

Perhaps at certain points in history, when one company has a monopoly on a particular technical advance, it could be a small factor. But impossible to measure this.

Seles has 9 GS, by the way. :)

Sabatini used Prince, head, then Yamaha at end of her career, she had the first colored racket on the womens side.
