Blue Heart24 10-24-2006, 11:11 AM :haha: :haha: PahelWaske 10-24-2006, 11:11 AM :haha: Good one Gaston! Your indoor performances cheer me up, as always. Thumbs up Simon :) I♥PsY@Mus!c 10-24-2006, 11:11 AM What a bad result,Gaston! When will he improve his serve? Germanstar 10-24-2006, 11:14 AM After a littles Slump a great win Simon !!! ;) :D :D :o :o :o :o :o at Gaudio scoobs 10-24-2006, 11:18 AM Terrible. Lamentable. I don't know why he bothers turning up for events any more. scarecrows 10-24-2006, 11:27 AM expected win from Greul Action Jackson 10-24-2006, 11:34 AM Wow this was a shock. Naranoc 10-24-2006, 11:34 AM To sum it up: bad gambler 10-24-2006, 11:35 AM Congrats Greul I suppose Björki 10-24-2006, 11:43 AM sehr gut Simon :) SLICK 10-24-2006, 11:48 AM He just said that he has not fully recovered from a stomach bug that kept him out of the Madrid Masters. Even so. http://www.inside-tennis.net/index.php?action=news&id=2149 gigipp7 10-24-2006, 11:52 AM What happened with Gaston? It's a shock. Fed-Express 10-24-2006, 11:53 AM I wonder why everytime this happens people are shocked. When you follow Gaudio's results you'll see that this is not something special. This has nothing to do with him getting a serve, it has to do with his head. If he feels great and confident and the circumstances are postive he is able to produce some of the greatest tennis... if not, the opposite is the case. Action Jackson 10-24-2006, 11:55 AM I wonder why everytime this happens people are shocked. When you follow Gaudio's results you'll see that this is not something special. This has nothing to do with him getting a serve, it has to do with his head. If he feels great and confident and the circumstances are postive he is able to produce some of the greatest tennis... if not, the opposite is the case. I was being ironic when it came to the shock statement, when he gets bagelled by Lisnard again then it's newsworthy. None of this stomach bug stuff, he was sick in Madrid, but he just played shit here. Fed-Express 10-24-2006, 12:04 PM I know that you were being ironic, unlike some other posters. You are ironic most of the time when it comes to typical Gaudio losses like this one. And I guess that is the only possible reaction if you are a big Gaudio fan. SwiSha 10-24-2006, 12:05 PM What a bad result,Gaston! When will he improve his serve? i don t think his serve was the main problem Action Jackson 10-24-2006, 12:13 PM I know that you were being ironic, unlike some other posters. You are ironic most of the time when it comes to typical Gaudio losses like this one. And I guess that is the only possible reaction if you are a big Gaudio fan. No point being a fanboy is there? But it's not a surprise he is just on holidays at the moment, even then these things happen. Fed-Express 10-24-2006, 12:22 PM No point in being a fanboy whatsoever. And no, with the amount of matches he has played during the last months, no surprise here. However, I hope he will forget this year asap and come back next year in 2005 form. I miss these nerve-wracking Sb sessions where I follow his matches ;) MC this year was an exception of course. Action Jackson 10-24-2006, 12:25 PM I think the only reason he is actually playing is in case something happens to Nalbandian, Calleri, Acasuso or Chela and he might have to be in the squad for the DC final, though del Potro would probably be as good option at this point in time. Fed-Express 10-24-2006, 01:08 PM Yes, I thought so too. And I have to admit that I was in a way hoping that with a decent showing he might get the chance to somehow sneak in the squad since it's been his dream to win the DC for Argentina and now they are so close. But the truth is, atm he does not deserve a place in the squad, the other Argies are just better...that probably includes DelPotro, who has considerable potential. Well, I still hope for an 8th miracle and it would have been so great to see Gaudio on a winning DC team with the weasel sitting at home and watching teh tie on TV;) Neely 10-24-2006, 01:13 PM Well, if Gaudio was good indoors or if this happened in 2004 maybe the scoreline then would be a surprise. But still a bit humuliating because Greul is not the class of Gaudio normally. Anyway, at least a win for Greul! Action Jackson 10-24-2006, 01:17 PM Yes, I thought so too. As he said in an interview it has been a difficult year for him, but there have been worse. These kinds of losses aren't surprising, but as for your last paragraph, well the team becomes before any egos. GermanBoy 10-24-2006, 01:37 PM What is wrong with Monsieur Gaudio? Enjoying his money and the ladies he attracts with his looks and his money? Sparko1030 10-24-2006, 02:07 PM :awww: ouch! Gaston  stebs 10-24-2006, 02:36 PM No way Gaudio deserves to be in the team, especially after his form this year and only someone delusional would think so. These kinds of losses aren't surprising, but as for your last paragraph, well the team becomes before any egos. On that note, it's funny to think that at a point last year the top 3 Argies were Canas, Gaudio and Coria and now they are in a DC final a year later and none of these guys are going to be playing. Action Jackson 10-24-2006, 02:40 PM On that note, it's funny to think that at a point last year the top 3 Argies were Canas, Gaudio and Coria and now they are in a DC final a year later and none of these guys are going to be playing. Well Nalbandian loves the environment and always turns up to play and Acasuso/Calleri love it as well. Things change and they have enough depth which is a good thing. And Puerta. That tennis kid 10-24-2006, 02:51 PM Gaudio was very good in patches against Massu in Madrid, but must have been awful here. TheBoiledEgg 10-24-2006, 03:28 PM Gaudio's attempt to be picked for the DC final ;) s.m. 10-24-2006, 03:34 PM gaudio is a legend SLICK 10-24-2006, 06:24 PM Gaudio may as well start his hols now, he's not likely to do anything in Paris next week. jayjay 10-24-2006, 07:10 PM On that note, it's funny to think that at a point last year the top 3 Argies were Canas, Gaudio and Coria and now they are in a DC final a year later and none of these guys are going to be playing. That's when you include Puerta anyway. jayjay 10-24-2006, 07:15 PM Partly. Although two of those players were caught for doping. That's when you include Puerta anyway. The doping issues are pretty clear cut, I'm not going to get into that kind of stuff. Canas was screwed and Puerta should have paid more attention to his situation. Hendu 10-25-2006, 05:17 AM umm he is 28, so kind of late for that... His serve is not the problem. His head is.
