TMS Rome Final.

In the TMS Rome final when Federer had match points was it on his serve or on Nadal's and did he have easy/manageable match point opportunities?

Throughout the fifth set did it look like Federer was firmly in control and would win the tournament? Even after he didn't convert his match points?

Overall, how were both players levels in the match?

Federer had 2MP at 15-40 on the Nadal serve at 5-4* IIRC. He never served for the match. On one of the MPs he had a makeable forehand which he overhit and it landed out.

Federer was in control for a lot of the fifth set - he was a break ahead at one point, Nadal pegged him back, but he was threatening more on the Nadal serve than vice versa.

After he had the MPs, my personal feeling from what I remember at the time was I felt the momentum had shifted again and Nadal had gained heart. After that it was neck and neck again until in the tiebreak when Nadal pipped Federer at the post.

The match was very long with many ups and downs - throughout the first four sets, they took turns at being in control. It was a very topsy turvey match - a classic.
