After today's win over Gonzalez, Federer has recorded a bagel against 10 of the other top 20 players

Already in the bag: Nadal, Nalbandian, Roddick, Blake, Baghdatis, Gonzalez, Berdych, Haas, Hewitt and Gaudio.
Yet to come: Ljubicic, Davydenko, Robredo, Stepanek, Ferrer, Nieminen (6-1); Djokovic (6-2); Ancic and Murray (6-3).

Who's next?

funny how he has already done some of the higer ranked players e.g, nadal, roddick and nalbandian. he always raises his game. im sure he could do the same to most of the others if he wanted to badly.

Has Federer ever been bagelled? I remember Coria gave him a breadstick at Masters Cup last year, as did Nalbandian (David has given Federer 3 breadsticks in total). And Nadal also gave him a breadstick during FO F this year. Hewitt has also given Federer a couple of breadsticks, but I can't recall off the top of my head Federer being bagelled....it must have happened surely? Get to work, stat kings. :)

From Wikipedia, if you want to trust that ...

"Federer was presented the inaugural "Golden Bagel Award" in 2004, a light-hearted award based on a trivial statistic given to the men's professional tennis player who serves up more "bagels" (sets won 6-0) than any other player in any given year. Federer gave out 12 "bagels" in 2004. He also served 23 "bread sticks" (6-1 sets won). Since turning 18, Federer has not been bagelled himself."

To my knowledge the most recent bagel served to Federer was by Byron Black in Queens '99.

Andy's only received two bagels in his career. One when Fed was #1, and the other when Haas was moving into the top 10 in 2001.

You mean on his ride to be the world's best number 2 ever ;) However it was only on clay(like George Castanza said, a clay bagel is like a 6-3 set ;) ) and in Bankok 2004 he was so injured so for me he really hasn't been bageled since his debut.

Now I am looking for the one who will bagel Johansson or Karlovic on carpet.:)

Don't try to deny it,my darling. A bagel is a bagel on clay, hardcourt, carpet or ice.
That would be like saying that if the DC final was played on clay in Argentina, we would surely win. If he sucks on clay and Acasuso was playing verry well (I watched the match) then that's it.

Amazing that Federer was bagelled by Spadea. Also, he played his first pro match against Lucas Arnold and lost.

Spadea had some great wins that year:

Kafelnikov in Key Biscayne and again in Lyon
Agassi in Australian Open
Sampras in Indianapolis (OK, it was a retirement, but they split sets first)
Kuerten on clay in Gstaad
Krajicek at Roland Garros
Philippoussis at Rome

All that in addition to his Grammy and induction into the Rap Hall of Fame! :worship: ;)

Djokovic was only once bagelled to my research and recollection, AO2005 against Safin who went on to win the whole thing and he was only 17. I doubt he ever gets bagelled again as he is an all court player
