I have never used this book before and would like someone who currently uses it to answer a couple of questions if possible:

*What the online limits across all the sports available (including in game betting)?
*Do they have a "VIP" grouping similar to centrebet where amongst other things there are bonuses paid on top of your normal winnings during certain periods?
*Are they generally pretty good in terms of timeliness of putting up lines on all the sports using say centrebet as a comparison (for tennis) who are generally pretty poor?

Thanks

used them for a while and then went back to CB..(mainly CB interface i am used to it more)

Q1 : online limits (do you mean maximum bet?) .. not sure what is the maximum .but i had a one $500 bet played

Q2: not sure about the VIP grouping .. but they run promotions from time to time. mainly to encourge you to play MULTI (para)

Q3: they put lines around the same period as CB .. maybe slighter quicker..but not by far.
I used them foor AFL , WNBA mainly

hope that helps

They set limits on me and I have a losing account with them. I have taken all my money out except for $60 bucks and have not laid a bet with them for about a month. I was worried that when I tried to place a bet on somebody at $3.00 for $1000 and they would limit it to say around $300 then maybe they may go out of business after the law that has been passed in the US.

They have put limits on me too. I got 20k out of them 10 weeks ago but when I am up a couple of grand nowadays, my limits are low.

However, there is a way around this. Just put the bet on a few times. I did that a few times. They are not stopping me how much I want to put on.

It's not funny.

I didn't bet on the cox plate through them as $500 odd would have been the limit and I didnt intend on putting through lots of seperate bets.

BG I have both centrebet and sportingbet accounts and definitely prefer centrebet. Since I am only a student by stakes are fairly small so don't have a probem with limits but as others seemed to have said here it might be a problem for someone like you given your stake sizes.

Just one question though, what do you mean centrebet has "VIP" group?

I was referring to the global book, not the Australian one.

Basically what happens is every now again centrebet provide these "offers" to certain group of their clients. For example at the moment, between August 2006 to February 2007 they pay out each month 2.5% bonus on all winnings for the month. That's why my preference is to use centrebet in any sport at the moment even if I lose a bit on the juice and prices compared to other books such as pinny.

I've received a whole heap of free tickets to major sporting events from them as over the past couple of years as well.

BG,

How do they chose who is a VIP member? I stake fairly large amounts regularly with CB, but as of yet haven't been invited to the VIP group.

My guess is that if you have a large balance with centrebet and have been with centrebet a while they would probably extend invitations to you. They probably do this because they have a huge amount of other peoples money in their account which they smartly use on the money markets too make the company more money. Thats why BG and people like him get free sporting tickets from them from time to time.

No idea mate - I'll ask them tonight when I ring through a bet tonight

Where do you live? I'm thinking it is only extended to Australian residents.

On second thoughts, maybe the reason why you are not a VIP member is because you stake large bets and win too much :p
