Gonzalez Pim Pim will be a match to watch for its hard hitting. Wouldn't like to be the line judge.

Now all we need is for Robredo to go down in flames, and Baghdatis to take his place in Shanghi.:p

PimPim is going to quickly rise up the rankings in the coming months. He's going to be a player that nobody wants to see in their part of the draw.

another match with nadal looms in the semis... that is if rafa can get through hard hitters like haas and roddick.

Great result but a little early to think about semi's. For Johansson any match he wins is a bonus, the good thing is he's fit again.

Like I said before, even though I'm a Rafa fan, its great to see Pim Pim back...he is exactly the type of player outside of Roger and Rafa (and maybe Safin) no one wants to face...because the prospects of defeat are so great...

Pimpim showed how Davydenko does not beat many good players
Davydenko again bad in a Masters tournament for a world top 10 player

great win for JJ on the comeback trail. Also a big help for Roddick in terms of TMC standings...he's pretty much locked in now I think, with Blake, IL, MA, & ND losing

Oh, and can some one explain "pim pim"? How do you get that from Joachim? As I've heard it, his little brother couldn't pronounce his name when they were very young and gave him this nickname.

His brother couldn't say Joachim, he said "Joapim". And PimPim is the name of a Sweedish candy, so it stuck.

Amazing. There hasn't been a comeback this successful on the men's tour in awhile. Second week back and beating top 10 players.

i'm not a huge fan of the guy, but i got to give credit where credit is due. 2 top ten wins in 2 weeks is impressive. Some top 5 players have the a similar amount of top ten wins over the whole year.

Oh damn, what a win.

Maybe a lot of players just aren't use to the sort of power PimPim has. I'd love to see him back in full flight by next year.

The only small consolation is that Blake and Ljubo are also out so Shanghai hopes are still there
