Straight way for Robin to 3rd round. I dont know whats wrong with JCF but Congrats for Robin.

But it will end soon as his next enemy is Roger:devil:

Ooops.

Well I'm happy for Soderling (he's in my FT team this week) but that's a bad result for JCF on home soil :(

The Spaniards really have mostly failed to perform this week.

Only Robredo won, and it didn't come easily

There's nothing happening to Ferrero, Soderling is just superior at the moment.

Certainly Soderling is a potent force when you play him indoors - we saw that earlier in the season around the time Murray won his first title in San Jose.

Isn't it 7/9 Spaniards out now, with Nadal yet to play? :o

Soderling made it to the Memphis final and gave Blake a hard time in last weeks Stockholm Semifinal. it is pretty much "his" surface, hopefully he can make Federer some problems.

the match was awful
JCF did nothing ..... every shot to the middle of the court
ridiculous, without any spirit ....
is not the way to be a top again

I think JCF has already given up on this year. That's his 10th first round loss of the year. It's really been a shocking season for him. He hasn't won a single indoor match.

I haven't seen any of his last few matches (bloody Sky Sports ended their coverage after the Murray match  ) so I don't know what is wrong with his game. But I think he should consider whether his relationship with Perlas is working. It's time for him to sit down and think about what he's doing wrong.

Martinez was sitting in the box this time. Yeah I think the arrangements don't quite work for him.

If JFC wants to get out of this funk, he needs to find more range on his forehand. Imo its the only thing stopping him from getting back to the top

Why do so many people think JCF has to be in a slump to lose against Söderling inddors? He would have won in 2003 form, but that is a long time ago.

Why do so many people think JCF has to be in a slump to lose against Söderling inddors?Maybe they say that because they've seen the match? JCF was horrible, it was painful to watch.
Martinez was sitting in the box this time. :shrug:Who is Martinez? Perlas was still sitting in JCF's box yesterday.
