Its only Match Point now, don't post before its over and Nalbi will be crushed by Tim if Tim's knee is ok.

During most of the match David's mind was on ballgirls, fishing and rally, but eventually he set his mind on TMC and prevailed.

Bennetau is now head to head with Chela for the title of choker of the tournament. Was 5-2 up in the 3rd and served for match at 5-3.

He was a break down in the third, and Benneteau served for the match.

I can't believe he won... I thought he was toasted. You'd better remember how to play, David.

- Nalbandian is the current 'Master', having won the latest edition of the Masters Cup.
- So it's for Masters only? Ah, I get it. How come Robredo is a "Master" and Safin and Hewitt aren't? I'm positive that they're much better players and would fare much better in the Cup than the Spaniard. Besides, they have won previous editions of that tournament.
- Perhaps you're talking about players who have won Masters Series this year. Are you saying that Davydenko, Blake and Ljubicic shouldn't travel to Shanghai? I fail to see why.

I can't believe David didn't tank when down a couple breaks in the final set.

The difference seperating Fed, Nadal, Roddick and Hewitt from the rest, is their stubborn mindset during dire situations.

Nalbandian is the king of "It'll take too much effort to get back in the match. Better luck next time."
Hope this result will curve his thought process when he's losing significantly to his 2nd round opponent.

But he won.

awful to watch but. his fitness has been on the decline all year and he's putting on weight. its hard to maintain intensity if your body is not in shape. welcome to the world of professional tennis

I almost died.

Davee may be mentally strong, but I sincerely hope he can be more fit. Pulling stunts like this won't work every time and it shows on his track record.

No matter what he feels, Nalby needs to lose weight and train harder so that he can have easier wins early in a tournament, and not become exhausted or injured like what happened in Roland Garros this year.

David has been fat his whole career. Hasnt really hurt his 5 set results. his fitness is not the problem. his mental stability (or lack thereof) is the problem.

He also has the tendency to screw up in the beginning, then make a big comeback.

He wasn't that fat in 2005 TMC, was he? Anyway, it just seem that every time I see him, he's put on some more weight. I love how he looks right now, but I think if he can get back to 2005 TMC figure he'll be in better shape. Take a look at him in 2005 TMC vs USO this year.

hopefully he's gonna do well in both Madrid and Paris... I mean, most of us FINALLY want to see him play against Nadal. It could have been one badass Roland Garros final... ohh I shouldn't look back.
